It works

It's hard to get excited about a laminate counter miter bolt kit, but this one works very good. This one was made to fit the 45 degree precut laminate countertops. You get a tube of glue and with a little effort the countertop pieces fit together perfectly. I suppose the only thing that would make the job easier would be if the bolts were flange bolts which have a built in washer and a smaller hex head so that you could get a box end wrench on the bolt, instead of an open end wrench, which does...

Works as expected

We used this with some pre-fab counter tops we installed in our laundry room. It's a bit tricky but having 2 people made a HUGE difference. I'll admit they didn't tighten enough to completely seal the corner seam (hence the 4 star rating) but it did technically do it's job.

Good Product and includes glue

Although this is a very simple product it is made well for it's intended use and worked as it should. Including the appropriate glue in the package was a nice bonus as I was not near home when I needed these and I didn't have to buy glue to complete the repair.

Jointing counter tops

Hard to tighten, head of bolt not a common size, very small. Had to use neddle nose plyers to tighten

Never used them before

Simple, easy to use to squeeze the corner counter top together in my new kitchen.

These bolts are a waste of money - DO NOT BUY

I install kitchens for a living. The old bolts were twice the diameter, 7/16" heads and held very well. The new kits are 7mm metric, made from EXTREMELY soft metal and are completely incapable of drawing a miter together. Do yourself a favor and keep the ones from your old top, shop at another store for better bolts....something. But I can assure you these are a waste of your time and money.

Junk

Glue doesn't turn into anything usable when mixed. Phone number given on package to call if glue turns into dough balls, which is exactly what it does. Just use wood glue. Hardware is also cheap. Not worth the money.

More than whats needed

The hardware is not high precision machined bolt's and nut's. But does not need to be. They work perfectly. I do not like the fact I had to buy powdered glue with the kit. I have high quality glue that know works well and don't have to take time to mix it up. Price is a little high but they are trying to include everything needed for the project. I believe if you don't have good glue in your shop already you probably don't want to take on this project. It may seem to be simple but you get one ch...

Not very happy - junk

They need to include the 7mm open end wrench. At the angle it's at you can't use a socket, nor a crescent wrench. Most tool kits don't have 7mm open end. Also made of very flimsy material, I'm surprised Lowes sells it. As expensive as countertops are, screw-ups and cheap miter joints should be avoided; begin by avoiding this product. I'm really upset it was recommended by an associate as it's "all I would need". Obviously she's never used the product she recommended.

Good value

Very professional looking when installed. Looks custom made. The seam is flawless. Wish we had received more information on Lowe's installment of this item we would chosen Lowe's to install it. The installation was as much as the product cost.
