This item is not Stainless Steel

I Need a stainless steel water heater element, and found this one online at lowes. thought wow how can it be so cheap in price, i have been paying around $40.00 for these in stainless steel. so i bought this one thinking this was a great deal. but then i found out, that its not stainless, that is why they are cheaper in price. So if you need stainless, i do not recommend this 1 because its not stainless as it says.

No difference?

Purchased two of these elements in order to replace two substantially older and corroded ones. Turned the setting adjuster to a higher position and expected warmer water. No change to quantity or quality of hot water.

Easy replacement

Installed simply, water was hot within 30 mins of replacement. Much cheaper than a new water heater. Recommend purchase of actual element socket as alot of these are so corroded it's impossible to get then loose with the 7 dollar element wrench lowes sells. Spend the 11 more and buy the socket; if you dont already have a breaker bar I suggest purchasing one with the socket.

Works well

Easy install. Appears to be of good quality. much nicer than some of the other options. Heats water up quickly.

Great Product

My electric water heater was making a noise which a plumber told me the heating elements sounded like they were calcified. He suggested to get these heating elements, I drained the water heater, and then I installed these new elements and the water is once again hot.

been in over a week now, replaced both top and bottom. water will burn you up if you crank the hot water up like your used to doing before replacing

Who needs a new water heater?

Water too hot? Is it running out sooner than it used to? Think you need a new water heater? Think again. Perhaps you really just need to replace the water heater elements. Pick up one or two of these, depending on your water heater, turn off the circuit breaker, turn off the water to the heater, drain the water in the water heater, unscrew the faulty elements and screw these in.
