Easy to replace!
You just never know when a water tank many fail. Our previous valve started to leak due to a failed expansion tank. After draining the tank, our valve was clearly compromised, so I went to my local Lowes and picked this up. It was extremely easy to add it to the tank. Just some quick twists and then tightened with a wrench. I now know I should be testing the valve yearly to ensure there is not as extreme build up.

Instead of opening the hot water sink tap near the heater as I drained the water out of the valve at the tank's bottom, I simply pulled the lever on over temperature/pressure valve. Only had it installed for 2 days abd keaked the whole time. Sge had to go ask her manager, lol. I got my money back. Peed me off though.

Exact replacement
Would RecommendWas not sure which length I would need so purchased both and returned the one not used. In this case the shorter length valve was correct and from all outward appearances is an exact replacement for the original in my AO Smith electric water heater. Installation was easy and I chose also to put a union in my discharge line to make future water heater replacement easier.
