What Customers Are Saying
The pressure relief valve is a reliable replacement part that effectively stops leaks. Customers found it easy to install, with a good fit and pre-taped threads. While some had to make a second trip to get the right size, the valve generally performs as expected and offers good value for the price.

Never pull that lever
I needed to partially empty my water heater to get the level below the heating element I needed to replace. Instead of opening the hot water sink tap near the heater as I drained the water out of the valve at the tank's bottom, I simply pulled the lever on over temperature/pressure valve. That was a mistake. It had been sitting closed for 15 years and was OK, but when I opened the relief lever, contamination got between the valve's rubber seal and the orifice and it started DRIPPING. It happens
Product leaked out the valve had to return it and the lady behind the counter was like I don't know if I can take it back, I said yiu better take it back! Only had it installed for 2 days abd keaked the whole time. Sge had to go ask her manager, lol. I got my money back. Peed me off though.
Exact replacement
Was not sure which length I would need so purchased both and returned the one not used. In this case the shorter length valve was correct and from all outward appearances is an exact replacement for the original in my AO Smith electric water heater. Installation was easy and I chose also to put a union in my discharge line to make future water heater replacement easier.
Pressure relief valve
Product helped immensely with the pressure issue on my hot water heater ..definitely recommend
