Budget type doorbell that functions okay when it wants to work. The problem is that it won’t work in cold weather. The akaline battery freezes up and cannot find lithium batteries in that sze.
Door Bell Chime
Would RecommendMy door bell was not working so I tested out the button first and found it OK. Next I tested the old chime and found power going to it but it still did not ring. So I bought this doorbell chime and it works beautifully. It has a nice loud ring to it. I would recommend it to anyone. My friend asked me to test her broken doorbell. If it turns out to be her old chime I'll replace t with this one.
Adequate Doorbell
Would RecommendThis is a good replacement wired doorbell. The only problem I saw was that the cover had a notch on all four sides to secure to wall base. That would make it extremely hard to remove, pulling all four sides open at one time. I sawed off one end notch to make it easier to remove.
Broke in less than 1 year
Would Not RecommendI started 2020 by installing this door chime on New Year's Eve, and it's only been downhill from there. Much like 2020, this door chime was wrecked within a few months. Don't waste your time or money on this trash.

Would RecommendWorks with my SimpliSafe Video Doorbell Pro. I switched to this mechanical chime because my digital chime wasn't compatible with my SimpliSafe video doorbell. It's easy to hook up and worked straight off the bat with no need for a chime connector. The chime isn't the strongest/most melodic thing i've ever heard - but hey its $20

Broke after 2 years
Would Not RecommendBought this in the store to replace original doorbell installed with the house 50 years ago. Within 2 years both doorbell switches turned yellow, cracked, and the lights also blew out. The chime is mechanical and gets stuck if you don't "tap" the doorbell button. Don't waste your money on this no name Utilitech trash. I'm surprised Lowes even sells this low quality of a product.
