Christmas Light Control
Would RecommendI used to have my lights on a timer, but put them up very early this year and wanted an easy on and off option. I have my lights plugged into a garage receptacle, but can control the on and off from inside of the house.
Don't expect 80 feet or even 40 feet.
Would Not RecommendThis works fine if you are in the same room as the base unit but don't expect any real distance or for it to work through any walls. I purchased it to turn a light on on the garage, a distance of about 40 feet. It works up to about 20 feet but that's it. Even replaced the battery. Works fine in the same room but going through any walls or even windows seems to cut way down on the range it will work.

Great product for the handicapped
Would RecommendPurchased for a family member who is unable to walk at the present time. This give her a great advantage for turning on and off a lamp remotely. These are hard to find for some reason. Just happened across this one in a Lowes while traveling a distance from our local stores. They say they are seasonal. Anyway I have a similar one purchased for a Christmas tree and we just left it plugged in all year and use it for a lamp, and leave the remote on the counter.
Makes life easier

The only disappointment was that he battery hat was included, and I paid for as part of the purchase, was dead. I had to snag another battery from another appliance and it worked just fine. Would RecommendI have TWO of these and love them! It's one of those things that makes life a little easier. Just click the remote and turn on/off the lights from anywhere in the room. It's especially nice for a light over a painting. I get in bed, read, get the covers all fixed and click the remote and that's it. Couldn't be happier. Worth the price. Get it. You won't be sorry.

Would Not RecommendI bought this for my handicapped sister-in-law and drove 40 miles to install it. It worked just fine, until that evening when it quit working altogether. Another long round trip to pick it up, and now I have to return it to Lowe's. Not a happy camper.

Would Not Recommendu might as well well set fire to a $20 bill. I have tried mine on multiple different outlets with mutiple different things plugged in and i keep gettging the same result. Once you hit the ON button on the remote, everything plugged in will turn on, as will the led indicator light on the outlet. HOWEVER, you can press the OFF button on the remote and it will cause the appliance to "blink" off, then turn back on immediately. The led light goes out but there is still power being supplied to the out...
Performed the function I needed
Would RecommendMy only complaint is the cost of the product. I wanted a simple device to allow my daughter to turn a lamp on and off. I feel a simpler device would serve the purpose unfortunate this was the product I could find. Works perfectly.
On off remote plug
Would RecommendI needed something to turn off Chritmas tree lights and accompanying star. I saw this on line and went to the store and got it. It works really well. It is so convenient also. I might get more of them if I figure some pther place where they would be needed.

Would RecommendMy wife and I bought one of these for our master bedroom because we wanted a way to turn lights on and off without getting up to use the light switch. It works perfectly. We liked it so much, we bought a second one to use in our screened in room to turn the lights on and off there, and now a third one for our Christmas Tree. This way we don't need timers and we can turn the lights and tree on any time we want. Works GREAT.
