After cutting power to the old wall switch, I removed it and connected the wires with a wire nut so the existing switched outlet was on always. Then I drilled two holes 3 5/16” apart in the plastic backplate of this new remote switch so I could mount it to the junction box directly using the two screws that held the old switch in place. Remote switch in place of plugging/unplugging
Would RecommendI have remote HEPA filter and fan that only has a 120VAC plug in- the only way to turn it on and off. Now with this "nifty" device I can turn it on and off from inside my home. MUCH more convenient.

Would RecommendI took the wiring for my attic and moved it to a bedroom to be used for ceiling fan. This is plugged into the attic outlet which has a lamp plugged into it for the few times i have to use it. Huge money and time saver!!!

Would RecommendI've bought three of these over the past year and a half. They do work and have decent range. I've found the build quality of the remote unit to be low. On one of mine the switch broke, and on another it just stopped working. I'm going to try something built a little better.

Would RecommendStep 1: PLUG in the RECEIVER to a standard wall electrical outlet. Step 2: Plug into the RECEIVER the device you want to power on /off (example) a lamp. Step 3: Turn lamp switch to the on position -- The lamp is now under the control of the your NEW SWITCH. Step 4: Install the SWITCH BATTERY -- THE SWITCH CAN NOW control the on / off status of the lamp.

Would Not RecommendOpened box and followed instructions start to finish and didn’t work even though directions say they’re already paired. Went through step by step to pair them and nothing. Followed step by step to clear and start from the beginning and still nothing.
