I have replaced this light twice in less than a year. It will flicker, get bright and then turn off. Warranty is five tears

Light delay

3 of my 7 retrofits don’t light right away. There’s a one or two second delay. Installed a new Lutron Diva LED+ dimmer too

Very poor quality

I have replaced these units in a living room standard 8' ceiling. They get so hot that the clips melt at the plastic interface then the light falls out of the can dangling from the wire. Yes I can go to Lowe's and get it replaced but this is getting to be a nuisance. I have gone thru 4 since Jan 2023. I emailed UtiliTech but no reply to my questions Bad design but they do look good

this item had been returned and was missing pieces

I did curbside pickup, which was wonderful, HOWEVER, the two lights that i had purchased either had been returned or had been opened because they were both missing the pieces that i needed to install the lights, and one was missing the instructions. Now, i have to go back to lowes and return something that they should have check prior to placing back on the shelf. This is not the lowes that i typically go to, so it will make it hard to try this one again.

Left a gap between light rim and ceiling

Installed two of these lights today into our 6-in recessed lights and they didn't fit snugly up to ceiling and left a slight gap. Problem seems to be that the hinged fingers that secure the light to the recessed can are to long. They actually go up above the top of the can prevent the light from laying flush with ceiling. While I'm unhappy the results, they were so easy to install (~5-min per light once you know what needs to be done) and would have been an incredible upgrade had they worked....
