replaced 20 year old bug eye canned lights
Would RecommendI replaced old almond colored bug eye 4 inch recessed lights with these. the old ones simple unscrewed from the top of the can and these screwed right back in. They are much lighter and the tension clips hold it in tight. the light out put is great I put it on 3500k cool light for a light between yellow and super white. I replaced 12 of these

Torsion plates do not work well
Would Not RecommendUsed the metal torsion plates with first install of 4. Was exceptionally difficult getting the unit up into our 6 inch can. Torsion plates either need more give or are set to wide. Then decided to change color temperature of light so had to pull unit back out. In doing so, ruined the unit as the attachment wings were all bent up. It was almost impossible to pull the thing out!
