Utilitech 4 inch Recessed Light

This product is awesome! It replaced the light above my front door in the foyer. It has different temps so it’s not too bright when I leave for work. The installation was so simple and quick. Had everything removed and done on n 30 minutes.

Quick and easy with quality

Tried this out to see the ease of installation and quality of product. So far so good. Love the option of brightness level. We chose the brightest as winters cam be dark and we wanted a brigther light. Installation was easy. Cut the 6" hole per the template, the wire is an easy push in, and the clips are strong to hold it snug. Cant wait to complete the kitchen with these.

Easy install

Super easy install. I was replacing a unit, so I didn’t have to cut any holes. It does come with a little handle stencil if you need it. Push in wire connectors. Can use a dimmer.

East installation brings light to a dark hallway.

I had this hallway down from the front door where the coat closet is. It was always dark. One simple light fixture solved the problem. As always, the hardest part is running the power to where you need it, but once that was done, this fixture was a breeze to install. Just cut a hole using the included template, pop out of of the pre-punched connector holes and quick-wire the power. After that, just push in the spring clips and the fixture pops into place.

6 inch canless LED recessed light

Very nice well made can less light fixture. All white and easy to install. Comes with cutout of the light fixture which can be used to markup and cut the hole in the ceiling for the fixture install.

Great little light

Great little light, love the 4” size, it is secured in a 4.5” hole with spring clips and I love the white color selection switch on the backside. I hung it in my greenhouse and it’s the perfect amount of light

perfect upgrade

a wonderful light that produces more than enough light in the area of the kitchen we need and installing the light was just as easy as any instructions I seen.

great light

light went in okay, box comes with a template for cutting the hole. 5 different settings for how bright you want the light. springs are strong enough to hold it in the ceiling, but you are still able to take it out to change the setting without too much effort

LED can light

Very easy to install 6 inch can light. Can install in a very shallow area. Light comes with adjustable color to match existing lights. Comes with a template so you can cut out just right.

Failed, burnt components on circuit board

I purchased 2 of these about 3 years ago. One stopped working, took it out and replaced with new. Took the cover off of the old one and there was an electrical failure on the circuit board with soot/burn marks. It is easy to install, spring clamps worked well, color switch is nice. Smoldering was contained inside the steel junction box but still makes me nervous about the other one. Also curious that the company doesn't have their name on the actual unit anywhere... Lack of pride?

Weak Spring design

As a few stated this is a one piece unit thus romex connectors and 2 14/2 wires are too much added weight for little springs to secure this tightly to ceiling. I dry fitted no wires works great so maybe that is how they were tested. Outlet should have romex on top not side and this cause side to side tension pushing fixture with weak spring. Seriously test spring at store, a clothes pin has better tension. If using in suspended ceiling might be a great fit since wires are vertical and you are n...

Great update

I love these lights, extremely way to set up and look great. I did notice that one of the colors looked off but hardly noticeable. They really updated my space.
