I bought this particular extension cord because I need an Arctic grade, flexible cord for operating in the winter subzero temperatures of Alaska on occasion and Lowe’s had one on their shelf at a local store. The box claims the product is “ultra-flexible to -58 degrees F.” So far I have been able to test it to -10 degrees and it remained flexible enough to plug into the generator and transfer switch without difficulty. Would RecommendCord was the exact correct length and was the correct wire size for the 30 amp circuit I was wiring. I priced the parts separately and this manufactured cord was actually cheaper considering the amount of labor needed to assemble the separate parts cord.

Would RecommendThe Utilitech Pro 25-ft 30- generator cable is well made. It's a great cable and flexible for a 4 wire 10 gauge cable. I purchased it to go with the CAT RP 6500 generator I purchased so I could connect it to my disconnect panel and power my house when the power goes out during the hurricanes.
