I hate that I cannot customize the timer. The preset settings make no sense.

great item .

easy to put in and set up. only thing is you need a longer white wire. It works as stated and didn't lose time with a 21 hour power outage. Great item.

Simple programming. Digital perks.

This timer has all the simplicity of older timers and all the perks of a digital timer. If you only need one or two settings, this is the one you want.

We bought this product so that our front outside lights would go on/off automatically. It works great!

Troublesome

This was easy to install but difficult to program. Once programmed it worked fine for 3 months then stopped working. I tried to reset and re-program for several weeks but wouldn’t work. It takes 24 hours for cycle to take hold so this was an arduous, futile process.

Works fine

Works for what I need it for. I have another one that I use for my front lights, this was for my light over my walk through garage door. Kind of a pain in the but to program and this particular model does not adjust to daylight savings but it get the job done as far as my lights coming on at different times when I am not home.

piece of crap

I have replaced this timer 3 x and talked to customer support 10+ times, nobody can figure out how to set it to come on with the sunrise/sunset mode wish there was someone who was familiar with the unit itself , nobody at utilitech customer support is in the US nobody had a clue what to do other than read the instructions which I have done many times over ridiculous customer support to say the least

good unit, easily installed and uncomplicated to program. It has up to seven different programs useable for different days or time periods.

Died after two years; screen + battery

Had this Utilitech TM-097 timer for just about two years and have had multiple failures with it over those two years. The first failure was the internal battery died and no longer held a charge, so when the power flickered or went out, the timer reset itself and needed constant reprogramming. The second and final nail in the coffin was the bottom left portion of the LCD display died, so you could not determine what was AM or PM when attempting to set the time. I am unsure if this was a failure...

Defective device.

Really wanted an in wall mechanical for front walk nites - on/off 1X per day, no need for 7 “events,“ etc but Lowes doesnt seem to carry those anymore. The wiring is not easy as others made out for a non electrician, but after multiple attempts & re-wiring it still doesnt work- doesnt even turn on. Checked youtube for videos as well. Lites further down the string are on so I know its hooked up correctly. Checked the other big box, same offerings, so went to Amazon & got a mechanical in wall ...

Impressive and good value!

Wow...what a neat little timer. Works great controlling my barn lights. Easy to install. Like many of today's electronic devices...it takes a couple of tries to figure out exactly how to program. But once you figure out the flow, it's a piece of cake. And only for $20.

SCREWS WILL STRIP....

I read reviews regarding the screws stripping. I was paranoid and careful. 3 OF THE 4 SCREWS STRIPPED....Other than that,,,, installation was ok because of how tight it was wedged in box.
