Worry Free
Would RecommendThis timer takes all the worry about turning your outside and or inside lights on or off for security when at home or way. Timer is very easy to use and can be reset for changes in sunrise and sunset. Everyone should use these, also saves energy.

worked for 1.5yrs and then relay failed
Would Not RecommendUsing this for two 13w 120v led tree lights to come on for 5-6hrs/night. So not deawing much power. Found lights would not turn off even if turn off. Just glowed dimmly day or night. Found relay clicked but output circuit must be seized in a seudo closed state with 110v and not much aperage flow. Undortunately out of 1 yesr warranty.
Program for anytime
Would RecommendYou can program this timer to turn on at whatever time of day and any day of the week for a total of 7 different programs. Plus it is the best timer out on the market for the price. I have 2 of them. 1 for front porch light and 1 for outside garage lights.

Toothpicks helped
Would RecommendI was also having issues with the screw and clamp not holding down wires tightly. I used toothpicks to resolve this. Each screw and clamp is designed to hold down one or two wires, but if you only use one wire on any given clamp, it doesn't have enough leverage to hold the wire down very tightly. So I inserted a round toothpick in the unused hole on each clamp and broke it off. That created extra leverage to hold the wire tightly under the clamp. Aside from that one issue, everything works j...
Utilitech digital timer
This looks like a good unit Customer services sucks big time. You ring them up and press 95 different times you get sorry to busy call me back this is a farced. they say we did not build this ring up Lowes and they say we dont know anything. and another thing once you get it set up you have to wait 24 hours for it to work. it is a joke
Inconsistent
Would Not RecommendI have had this installed for a few months and it seems to get confused. It will work fine for a few weeks then it will turn the lights on way early (when using sunrise/sunset setting), and off 2-3 hours before sunrise. We have set and reset it multiple times. I think I must have a defective unit because other reviewers don't mention this behavior. I would exchange it but I tossed the receipt.
Easy to installation but complicate to program
Would RecommendIt was easy to get it installed because every connection was labelled. To set a simple daily schedule took me twice the time. Hopefully it will last longer than the one (different brand) that I bought last year (less than a year).

This is NOT a Countdown timer, it's 24 hour on/off
Would Not RecommendLowe's store stock of light switch replacement timers is poor. Only two almost identical items were available to turn outside lights on and off daily. I wish I had waited and ordered one online that (like my VERY old one) automatically compensates for the changing seasons (Lowe's does not offer on online, either). Store stock at competitors is even worse.

Overly complicated, screen unreadable
Only needed a simple on/off for some garage lites, seemed overly complicated for that simple function, plus the display was nearly impossible to read. Returned it

Replaced single pole switch with 15 amp digital timer. Total time spent was about 20 Minutes. This switch does require a neutral connection. Great product used for front door led lighting.

Would RecommendFit and finish great, but programming requires strong eyes or readers !

Easy install, works as designed
Would RecommendClear instructions for those who have a basic knowledge of residential wiring. Easy to program with handy override feature.

Very Frustrating Product
Replacing a single pole toogle switch switch to the porch light. After multiple attempts I figured out I don’t have a neutral wire required to make this work...aarrgghh!
Utilitech lighting timer
Would RecommendButtons labels are easier to read than other brands. I like having the manual On/Off buttons. Package fails to state that a neutral wire is required. There are 4 terminals to connect wires to. This is not a simple install. Display is tiny and difficult to see, but other brands are just as small. Programming is tedious but straight forward by following the directions. Easy to use screw terminals are suitable for up to 14 gauge wire. Wouldn't want to try 12 gauge wire.
Stripped screw,exchanged, stripped screw
Would Not RecommendGround screw stripped on the first one so I returned it and bought the slightly more expensive one which is basically the same thing and the hot in screw stripped. If the screws are junk, what other components are junk? Not worth the risk. I should have gotten the hint when most of the packages they had left were taped up returns (both I got had packages intact)
Just what I needed
Would RecommendVery nice features. Dusk to Dawn are estimated by this timer. Much smarter than a simple timer. Wiring was easy, and it will even handle circuits with dual switches. You will need to install in a standard depth box, probably wouldn't fit a shallow box.

Wish I'd read the low reviews before I bought it.
Would Not RecommendI shredded the package opening it and misplaced the receipt. When I went to install it, 3 of the terminal screws stripped threads tightening them, (I was an electrician for 14 years before retiring, so I know how much pressure to use). They weren't hardened properly. Without my receipt, I knew I was out of my money, so I disassembled the unit. I was able to remove the 3 screws, even though they were flared on the ends to prevent them from backing out. They were so soft that the flares straighten...
