Dual Level Lighting

The "specs" say "Dual Level Lighting"......"Yes". If they mean "Off" and "on", it's correct. if you're looking for something that has a dusk to dawn low illumination until activated by motion, keep looking. This unit (mine, anyway) does NOT have this function. The unit seems to operate well, and was simple to install, but it's not what I thought I was getting.... ESPECIALLY considering the unit alone costs more than $40!

Just what I needed

This light is bright and reacts perfectly when motion is detected. I like the ability to adjust the settings with ease, and changing bulbs is very easy. Well worth the money!

This ones bad

Doesn't work. Taking it back. I have installed a few security light like this before. No problems till now.

A complete waste of time and energy!

I have been through several of these and have had the same problem with all of them. They fill up with water and short out. It is still a complete mystery to me. I've done this work for 40 years and when something goes wrong I like to try to fix it. I'm sure glad they are on my own house. I first thought the location was the problem. They are mounted under the soffit. I can't imagine installing them on a wall. After replacing a couple and caulking areas where I thought water could get in, anothe...

Did not work

Got it home and installed. Easy install. Nothing works but test mode, otherwise looks like a good light. Would not recommend.

I purchased two of these on August 27, 2020 and had them installed by an electrician (not because they are difficult to install, but because of the height they needed to be - I don't do ladders anymore). Within three days, one quit working properly. The motion detector doesn't detect and when the power is on, so are the lights (and, no it's not set at dusk to dawn or Test.) Good potential but only lasted 10 months

Installed easy, some what light duty since it has alot of plastic parts. Worked fine for 10 months, then the motion sensor wouldn't work and it just stayed on all the time. I tried resetting the switch with no luck. Went to Lowes to exchange for another and they only take returns withing 90 days even though the manual claims it has a 5 year warranty. I have been trying to call Utilitech but due to Covid, there is extremely long wait times on the phone.

No seal included. Cheap quality.

I bought 2 of these to install on my property. I started to install them on a round weatherproof box. The base is flimsy plastic, and doesn't come with any type of gasket/seal. The instructions tell you to silicon the base. For the price I would expect better quality and maybe a gasket that costs cents to produce! I will be returning these.

Installed really easy for a home owner and works really well

A DUD

Had two installed by a Contractor. They were set for 3 minutes. They work fine if it does not rain at night. If it rains at night the lights come on and stay on. They may be good for a place where it never rains.

Wide sensing electric eye

The electric eye covers a wide area which is good. 4 stars instead of 5 because it did not come with a gasket to go between fixture base and mounting box.

Broan 42000 series range hood

Had to return light fixture due to bad sensor. Was given refund and purchased another and worked as expected.

Motion light

Just now reset the time to stay on longer. Working fine.
