What Customers Are Saying
The Utilitech Bronze Wire-in Replacement Motion Sensor has received mixed reviews. While some users reported the sensor worked well with good sensitivity and timer functionality, many experienced reliability and durability issues, with the sensor failing within a year, especially after exposure to weather. There were also compatibility problems, particularly with LED floodlights, and concerns about the quality and difficulty of installation.

Would Not RecommendThe sensor itself works okay. The problem is the lens. It disintegrates in about a year or so. I've had to replace the first one because of the lens and the second one, and the third one, and I am now going to replace the fourth one with a different brand from another store. One star is too much and I DEFINITELY DO NOT recommend this item.
Falls apart in a year or so
Would Not RecommendI'm on my fourth and last one! The sensor itself works okay. The problem is the lens. I'd have to say the lens is not UV resistant plastic as it disintegrates in about a year or so. I replaced the first one because of the lens, and the second, and the third, and now going to replace the fourth with a different brand. One star is too much and I DEFINITELY DO NOT recommend this item.
Causes lights to blink
Would Not RecommendIt senses motion, then rapidly blinks and flashes lights, when they should be on steady. Using it to control LED lights I also just purchased at Lowes, item 3722939. I will be returning tomorrow. Very disappointed because of the cost of labor to replace is much more that cost of this item. https://photos.app.goo.gl/9jqreZnJJCxzWp8t8

Good but not from 75'
Would RecommendThis sensor was easy to install and does detect motion to turn on the lights, but the specs say it will work from 75' and my actual experience is less than half that distance.

No Good
Would Not Recommendon my fourth one in about 7 months. One wouldn't work at all. 2 burned out when our power went out. Our power goes out a lot. I can't keep spending an hour to drive to Lowes to get a replacement, and an hour back, plus the time to change it, and the inconvenience of no outside lights in between. Time to see what the Big Orange store has to offer.

Protection is a must in these times
Would RecommendIn these days and times; Everybody is stealing from everyone else as a rule. Mostly Homeless, Drug Users, and Teen Age Kids. I’m inventing a system that will notify me when someone is someplace their NOT supposed to be.
