After 8 years 90-degree elbow rusted through
Would RecommendI bought this tank in September 2010 and after 8-years it still looks like new on the outside. However, yesterday I noticed a leak that kept increasing. Turned out that the 90-degree elbow located at the bottom of the tank rusted through and water was spraying from it's side. The elbow is made of iron, 3/8 to 1/4 in thick. Would Not RecommendHad many bladder tank over the years and all lasted from 7 to 10 years. Installed this model tank in 12/2016 and it failed in 5/2018. Lowes honored the warranty without issue. The second tank failed in 12/2018. Would not recommend this tank. Have purchase a new A O Smith tank to install.

FAILS under pressure

Quick Replacement
Would RecommendMy old tank had a rust ribbon around the bottom. I checked the new tank pressure was about 32 psi instead of the proper 28 pas recommended by the pressure switch. Install was easy using the 1 inch connector with a shark bit 1 inch plastic connector. sectioned before the pressure switch and gage using fitted radiator hose and two clamps later, Water for the whole house. Lowes personnel were very helpful and was blessed to have them available.

Would RecommendThe 52 gallon size is a tad larger than my old 44 gallon allowing the pump to run longer with fewer start ups. Installation was relatively easy. My problem is rust. These tanks last about 6 years if your lucky then will rust through. The main problem being condensation.

Would RecommendMy water pump used to come on every 30 seconds when the sprinkler system was running. I replaced the 15 gallon pressure tank with this 52 gallon tank and it tripled the time between cycles to every 1 and 1/2 minutes, cutting the run time by 1/3 and saving wear and tear on the pump. As a bonus I installed the old tank in parallel and now the cycle time is even better- 2 and 1/2 minutes between cycles. The utiltech was the size and shape I needed to fit in the space I had.

Would RecommendI bought the Utilitech 52 gallon pressure tank when our bladder tank failed. Install was as expected, lots of copper pipe sweating, mounting jet pump on top, etc. Steady work, took me all day, but no leaks, zero complaints. Tank is doing great! Our water pressure is higher and more even, and the jet pump runs only 3 minutes to recharge this tank.
