I bought the product it's a great idea it just didn't work in the socket at my house. My house is older so that was the reason why. So my review is three stars remaining neutral because I can't say it does or doesn't work but it seems like a good alternative to buying a whole kit at the time.

Light up the yard

I live out in the country where it is dark at night. I use this motion activated flood light to see if there is any movement around my car. I have several other motion activated lights around outside the house to let me know if there is anything untoward going on. Also when it is dark in the mornings it activates when I approach my car to take my wife out for early breakfast. It works like a charm. It is a thing of beauty and a joy to behold.

Works as promised

I purchased and installed two of these on the double flood light and they work perfectly. For the price, they are much better than buying a completely new fixture.

We put it in a dark coat closet under the stairway. Works slick.

Utilitech Motion Activated Flood Light

I purchased this because the integrated light in my door opener went bad and would have required a complete replacement of the door opener. This was a cheap, but effective, alternative. Now when the garage door opens, or when I walk toward the door, it activates the light I put in this unit.

No need to leave the garage lights on for nothing!

It is nice to work outside and have the lights turn on as I enter my garage!

works well on boat dock

I use these motion lights to let me know when night creatures or people come onto my boat dock. I have three of them and have been using them for about two or more years. One failed so I had to replace the unit. They are perfect for a normal light fixture and transforms them into motion lights.

Works as advertised. I have the light turned in one direction and the sensor at my back door so the light will alert me in a back room. you will need two sensors for a double flood light assembly, but works great. Strong sensor,works at the speed of light.

Great coverage

Does the job as intended. I only wish the sensor part was adjustable so as to position the angle different than from factory.

This "died" when changing bulb

This was a purchase for a replacement of one bought a few weeks back. My application is in a bedroom closet ceiling fixture (kids constantly leaving light on). The first one failed when I was changing the bulb and heard a 'pop'. I assume some blame as the electricity was still on to the fixture. Have other similar units purchased a year or so ago and it works just fine. I have changed bulbs before in the older one and never had this issue.

I installed on security light fixtures that had photo cell on so now the motion sensors will only work at night and they appear to be w orking well and I don't have to remember to turn light switches on.

It's really working good, it is serving my purpose perfectly so far.

Bought for use in attic

I installed this fixture in my attic. I have a set of drop down stairs going to the attic and above the stairs there is a light fixture with a pull chain and I would have to climb half way up the stairs to get to the chain. Now when I pull the stairs down the light comes on. Works great.

Great way to add motion sense to existing floods

I added these to existing floodlights I have on the corners of my house. They’re a quick and easy way to turn them into motion sensing lights. I just leave the switch flipped on and the lights turn on when motion is detected.

Used as a walk in light for the closet works great comes on when u walk in and turns off in Tinley manner I would suggest for use anytime
