What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this tool for safely replacing bulbs in high or hard-to-reach fixtures without ladders, especially in vaulted ceilings, stairwells, and ceiling fans. Most report strong satisfaction and would recommend it. However, a notable group experiences grip reliability issues—the bulb holder unscrews, suction cups detach prematurely, or grippers slip on plastic bulbs, prompting some to add modifications like duct tape. While attachments like the broken bulb remover are appreciated, inconsistent performance remains a significant concern for roughly one-fifth of reviewers.

Would Not RecommendI read the reviews, so I had my doubts. But the alternative was getting up on an extension ladder to change the floodlights. At my age, that is not something I look forward to. It grabbed the bulb nicely, and I had plenty of extension. So I turned and turned and turned, but the bulb did not unscrew. The spring is too weak, and there is no rubber or other material on the holder to grab onto the bulb. I imagine that is the difference between this inexpensive one and the more costly ones. S...
Very poor quality
Would Not RecommendThe business end of the pole which contacts the bulb and holds it while the poles turns and removes the bulb is held in place by a very cheap plastic fitting. A screw is provided that is supposed to lock the fitting into place, but it is so flimsy that the screw cannot achieve a solid bite and the business end merely sits in place while the pole turns. We were unable to remove even one bulb. It did not cost much, but it has absolutely no value.

Broke
Would Not RecommendThe spring on the small light bulb attachment broke while changing the very first light bulb.
bulb change pole
lots of attachments. the extension is twist-lock, so it tends to come undone under use. each attachment is secured by a thumbscrew, but is threaded into plastic and likely to wear quickly.
The floodlight adapter is a suction device
Would RecommendVery ez to use
Light Bulb Changer is a Dud
Would Not RecommendI did not like the light bulb changer because after two days of trying to get the suction cup to work on a high light bulb, it would not function the way it was intended. In frustration, I had to return the entire package back to Lowe's. The woman who accepted the return was very accommodating and even thanked me for my service when she recognized that I had received a military veteran discount.
