What Customers Are Saying
This replacement part is generally functional and easy to install for many customers, though some report quality and compatibility issues. The receptacle is described as a "perfect fit" and "easy to install" by most, but a few found it to be "cheaply made" with a short lifespan. Some also noted compatibility problems with certain stove models. Overall, it appears to be a reasonably priced and serviceable option, but shoppers should verify it will work for their specific stove.

Would Not RecommendAfter installing it was hard to insert the heating element. I noticed a burning smell when first used. The plastic housing was deformed amd melted. It still works but I'll be replacing it with a ceramic one I found on line.
Nope
Flimsy. The original was 10 yrs old, but still better than this

A ceramic material would take the heat better .
Would Not RecommendThey melt if element connection not really tight and the contacts are pretty thin which doesn't help that. The directions need to be more clear about whether to insert wire contacts offset up or down in the block. A ceramic block replacement might take the heat better than this product.
Smart Choice Receptacle for Surface Elements
Would Recommendeasy install, all parts included. It would be a plus if were more heat resistant.
Good replacement part
Would RecommendThe only squawk I have on this part is that it doesn't include the wires all the way back to the control. Instead, you cut off the old socket and splice the new one on with the included ceramic wire nuts. Pro: You don't have to open the control box. Con: you have to keep the old wires. The contacts are superior to the original part. They are brass and wrap around the prongs on the burner with a nice tight grip - it took a determined push to get the burner in the first time. Much better than t...

Money saver
Would RecommendHaving Oceanfront properties most electrical receptacles wear out quickly. Installing these on the stove as your other ones get corroded from saltwater saves me the cost of purchasing a new stove every two years.

range receptacle
Would Not Recommendi thought the instructions were not specific enough. which way do i put the contacts in? how hard should i push the burner in? it worked the first time but has been erractic since. if i push to hard on the burner it gets stuck in the contacts. this is not the first time i've installed these contacts. the last one i put in only lasted a year.

Needs Re-engineering
Would RecommendThese receptacles are suitable for the purpose, however, they are made of a cheap grade of material and are subject to heat fatigue which causes them to have a shortened life-span. The wire nuts provided are of a ceramic material and the receptacles should be made of the same material. This is the 2nd time in 2 years I have had to replace one, simply because the replacement burned through. Luckily, they are not terribly expensive and are easy to install. I just wish they would last longer. I wo...

Almost perfect
Would RecommendPackaged so that it would work on a variety of stoves, this piece fixed what ailed mine. On the downside, I had to ruin the small screw holding the old piece on so it would have been nice if this replacement had included a new screw.

Range burner receptacle
Would RecommendExcellent way to put new life into a well used range. Easy to install. The shrink wrap that comes with doesn't work that great, but electrical tape works just fine.

range receptacle
Would RecommendEasy to follow instructions. Only problem was that since there was no screw included I had to use the previous one which was larger than the hole provided in the new receptacle. I had to make it larger to attach the piece to the range. There was also a difference in how the receptacle attached. There was not the additional flange that sets into the lip of the opening of the eye. Once attached it worked fine.

range recepticle
Would RecommendI have a 20 year old Kenmore electric stove in very good condition. I was having intermittent burner heat issues. Searched the web for solution and found this repair kit. Very straight forward install, only needed wire cutters/ pliers and a cross tip (Philips style) screw driver. If your element receptacle is bad, then the 2 prongs of the the element that mate with it are probably pitted, use some medium grade sandpaper or a file and blend them out ( just don't remove too much material). Took lo...
