Bought this Typhur Instant read thermometer for a Christmas present for my husband. As it turned out, I was the first one to use it, cooking dinner last night. Impressive! I have used a Thermopop instant read for years. It takes a few seconds to turn on, and several seconds to read. The Typhur, turns on instantly. It reads instantly. It’s my new go-to. Love it!

The marketing is really slick, but the thing you don't realize until it's in your hand is that 10hz refresh rate lets you easily “hunt around” for the coolest spot in the food in realtime. With other thermometers, you end up checking a only handful of spots while you wait for the reading to slowly coast to accurate.
