Critical for longevity of a deck
Would RecommendFlashing with butyl tape is crucial for adding many years to the life of the decks we build. Pressure treated lumber does not last nearly as long as it used to. Unprotected decks will have rotting deck joists within 10 years. Easy to use. Ver well worth it.
Simple to use for longevity.
Would RecommendThis was new to me as a DYI'er but it made complete sense to me to use this tape. Simple placement and extremely adhesive. Took a bit to figure out how to apply without having to peel the backing off each time. Leave a little exposed on each cut.

It took 2 hours to apply to a 100 sq/ft deck
Would RecommendThe tape went on easily and adhered to the joists well. As of this time I cannot attest as to the added protection the tape gives. This is something only time will tell.
