What Customers Are Saying
The product is generally well-received, with users praising its ease of use, lightweight design, and good battery life. It is described as powerful and dependable, offering good value. However, some users have experienced issues such as the line guard falling off, the battery not holding a charge as expected, and the trimmer struggling with thicker grass. Overall, the product seems suitable for light-duty trimming, but may not be suitable for more demanding yard work.

I am impressed with all attributes of this product charging to period of use per charge (small jobs). My only concern has been that the string protector fails to stay clipped on to the working head when bumped against walls or other stationary objects. This issue has been resolved by the use of a multi-purpose tie to hold it in place.

Cheaply constructed
The Trimmer is fine for the price paid and does the job. But the guard does not stay attached. Very annoying and should be built better. I'm going to try taping it on!

Better than my old one
This is my second trimmer from Toro, very similar model. The other one died but it was fine for 10 years. The new one works as expected and some features are improved, as a homeowner this is all I really need (read no gas)

easy to use
Light weight, not overly long making it easier for a woman to use.

So far, so good.
I am pleased with the trimmer after two weeks of use. The only complaint is that the bump line release is not always reliable. Plenty of power and run time, though.

It lasted only 2 seasons
We bought this trimmer for our tiny yard in the summer of 2016. It did a great job the first two seasons and even held a charge between mowings. But this year, it won't hold a charge at all. It seems to get power and charge, but can't deliver enough juice to cut a single blade of grass. Looking at the Toro site, it appears that a replacement battery will cost almost as much as the unit. What frustrates me the most is that we have to throw it away, contributing to the environmental crisis.

Battery doesn't recharge
WE had a Toro cordless trimmer for 7 years. When we bought the new on we were disappointed with the cord connection to the battery. You have a "play" with it to get the red light to come on. After less than a year the battery no longer charges. We've tried different cords to see if that was the problem. Will never buy another Toro.

Line and feed problem
Had three generations of the trimmer all great, the new one has a problem with the line and feed the spring inside the spool is too long and stiff,it cuts off the line prematurely within a minute of running time.I reread the manual, didn’t help, then I read the toro 51467 reviews and found I’m not the only one having the problem ? I’m returning ASAP.thank you

Handy to use
I am a 73 year old woman and do all my own yard and garden work. It's something I enjoy. My new cordless trimmer is to replace my previous one that I wore out. I like it, because there are no cords to drag around. The battery I charge each time I finish using it and the life of the battery must be close to forever. I wore the string attachment out but decided to purchase a new trimmer because I still was on the original battery.

One larger and a second minor complaint
My new trimmer is not as good as my previous TORO cordless trimmer. The new (51467) is lighter (good), neutral in other respects except: HUGE problem; the cord breaks off at the spool every 30 to 90 seconds, literally. My yard trim routine took MUCH longer than normal because I spent the majority of time taking the spool off, getting a new length of cord out and putting it back together. 'tis awful. Also, the new trimmer does not hold as much charge as my previous TORO, thus I can't finish my...
