4-in Dia Utility Tire Inner Tube

I bought the 4-in Dia Utility Tire Inner Tube to fix the wheel on my 25 gallon tow behind sprayer that blew out. The tube went on easily and the tire was fixed in no time at all.

A tough thing to use

I have arthritis and had to enlist help to get this into the tire & rim. Warning! Don't take the valve stem out - the tube contains a fluid that is meant to seal punctures, and could be hazardous to your health (clothes, too)!

put inner tube in my wheel for my hand truckand then put air in and it's still holding up.

Good quality; Durable

Good quality for the price and no tearing or damage while installing and/or airing as I've experienced with many of the less expensive tubes. Since installation in my riding mower, it's held up for 4 uses and is still functional and I anticipate many more uses from it.

Becareful because of the sealant

Do not pre-inflate the tube to get it seated in the tire before final install, the sealant will clog your valve and you'll get the red sealant everywhere. I tried to clean the valve and stem hole but just couldn't get the valve clean enough and you could feel air escaping. Do your best to get the tube in as straight as possible, only inflate it once, that being final inflate; don't let air out through the valve. Bad stem

Purchased to replace my hand truck tube. I installed and had leak were valve stem is attached to tire.had to return and replaced all.

problems

this is the third tube purchased at lowes the first two blew up before even inflated to half the recommended pressure were refunded and I bought another brand elsewhere. I am hoping this one is better

A Quality, Good Value Product

The inner tube was just what I needed to replace one with a damaged valve stem in a mover's dolly. For my use, an angled valve stem was a definite plus making it easy to inflate once installed and clearly superior to a straight stem on a wheel this small. The sealant can be a bit messy as you fill the tube. All-in-all, good quality at a fair price.

The product is good, don't have to worry about having a flat tire when I'm using my machine.

Very poor quality product.

The sealant actually prevents proper installation! I've replaced three in the past 18 months. I keep buying because Lowes is the only local source for this size tube. NOTE: This is the only poor quality item I've bought at Lowes.

When I went to fill tire it would not hold air.

Tire would not hold air. I took tire apart and found a perpendicular slit in tube. If it had been horizontal, I would pass it off that I pinched the tube while mounting it. Perpendicular makes me think it was there when I bought it.

Good value, just what we needed

We purchased this inner tube to replace a damaged hand truck wheel inner tube. It worked beautifully and we are up and running. Also noteworthy is this purchase completed on line and picked up in the store was seamless and the representative at the Buford, GA store was VERY helpful and courteous. This kind of customer service keeps us coming back to Lowes for all our home improvement needs.

whats to say about an inner tube?. good quality, metal valve stem which is good( reason for purchase as old one was rubber and tore)

Much Better Than OEM Tube

This item was much better than the OEM tube it replaced. Less expensive than ordering on line.
