It works as expected.

While the instructions list wiring into a light, if you are wiring into a light with a motion sensor, you will need to look up additional info to do it correctly. This is a replacement for the same product that died after 3 years. That may be due to the angle I had it since it was mounted at a 45 degree upward angle. That may have possibly allowed water inside? This replacement will be horizontal to not interfere with the motion sensor.

Photo cell eye

Easy enough to install. I had a bad cell at the house. Picked this one up and it was plug and play. I think the directional eye will be better than the sliding cover most have.

Works well and easy to install

The design makes it directional so you can point it toward (or away from) the light source. Mounts in the top of an electrical box.

Works great

I installed one about 10 years ago, but it stays on all the time now. Time to replace. I read some of the one star reviews. The only time I had any trouble is when a bush or flowers covered up the sensor. Also when I first installed it, it was on all the time, because I wired it wrong. After that was fixed, and obstructions removed, it worked fine.

Easy install-flawless operation

This photosensor is so much more responsive than the one it replaced (even when it was new). Great home security enhancement.

Photo cell for light control.

This photo cell does not last over 1 + years. Have to replace it as the cell deteriorates to stop on and off action

electric eye

we used this for our outdoor coach lights recently installed. The lights now go on at dusk and go off in the morning. Works great.

Photocell works great

I was tired of the light being left on all day and this solved the problem. Keeps the light on all night and auto shuts off during the day. Attached easily to my light fixture.

Easy to use and works well for a couple years

This product I have used twice because it’s the only one I can fit into the tight space where it connects to an outdoor 110 outlet. Like most electronics in today’s manufacturing, it only works for a couple years which is disapppinting but it’s not too expensive and as mentioned, easy to install.

Tork Photocell light switch

I was very pleased that the switch worked as well as I wanted it to, turning the lights on only when it got dark enough to start needing them. Then about a month and a half later the lights wouldn't come on at all. I had to disconnect the switch so the lights could be operated manually. This was very disappointing. Of course I no longer have the receipt.

Failed after 1 month

Worked well for about a month then stayed on 100% of the time. It is full of water. Obviously poorly manufactured.

Works Well Quick Install

I purchased this photocell to replace a flush mount photocell under a covered patio. The flush mount photocell was facing the ground and it was keeping the lights on well after daylight due to the shadow of the patio roof. After installing this swivel I pointed it towards the area outside the patio that gets first light in the morning and problem solved. Easy installation, took 5 minutes. Will buy again for other areas with a similar issue.
