It didn't take long for the trap to catch a rat who was inside my house but I had a repeat of the same problem I've had at least three other times, and maybe four. The trap did not kill the rat and I could hear it dragging the trap around my kitchen, banging into things. When I finally got up to investigate, I discovered that only the rat's snout was caught, so I grabbed the rat by the tail, went out to my deck and set the trap down, then opened it — at which point, the rat ran out like a shot! ...

Would Not RecommendI bought 2 and both broke as I tried to set them. I tried to set them by hand (instead of stepping on them and a piece of plastic flew off. They will not stay set, it seems like the internal switch broke off. Both traps failed.
