Trapped a Mole on day two. Traps are easy to use. Hopefully we will have a nicer lawn next year....just in time for the cicadas...can't win.

Looking at the reviews before buying this product, the thing that jumped out was that there were a lot of ones and a lot of fives and not so much in between. I understand that most of the 1 star reviews are all around the setting of the trap, and it did take a little effort. Broke after 1 mole

This trap broke on the second set . The jaws are flimsy. Dont use unless you have really soft dirt.

Is this supposed to work

You would be better off buying a cat. This does not work.

WoW, Works Just as advertised!

Unbelievable. Had, and I say, HAD, a mole problem in our front yard. I saw all the choices that were available, and this seemed the least toxic to the environment, the easiest to try, and worth giving a try. Followed the directions, easily set the trap, and the next morning, it caught the mole. Followed the directions to dispose of the mole, and super satisfied with the product and the results. Just wish I would have gone to Lowe’s sooner and purchased!

Broken trap

I have two of these traps and they work great. I have caught about 10 moles this summer alone. However, one of them has a broken clamp, the part that is under ground and actually catches the mole. Is there a way I can get a replacement to that entire side. I have looked at it and believe I could replace it if I had the part. Is there a way I can order a replacement part?

Horrible-more likely to get hurt than get a mole!

Never could get it to set and got scraped up trying. Don't waste your $ or time. Going back to return it.

Don't waste your money, absolute garbage system

Bought this as it was the only trap at Lowe's in stock. Difficult, nay, impossible to get it to set properly. Thoroughly read & re-read instructions and still the trap won't set. You have to put a ridiculous amount of weight onto the step to even get the jaws to fully extend (I'm 190 lbs so I would hope that would be sufficient but still it was crazy tough to get it to clamp all the way down). Even when I got the step depressed all the way, the catch wouldn't latch and the whole thing springs ba...

It works

Tried the poison pellets with limited success. Bought this to see if it would catch a mole that I have had tearing up my front yard. I found a raised tunnel and positioned the trap accordingly. Took about 24 hours but I got him. Not a gruesome clean up, didnt break the skin but killed it. Only complaint I can say is it is a little difficult to compress to set the trap as the springs are heavy duty, but if it works who cares. Trap seems pretty well made so Id expect it to last for many trappings...

First mole in 4 hours!

I'm a believer. I bought and installed 3 of these around 3pm. At about 7pm I peeked out and saw one was tripped already. For those having trouble setting the trap, you may need to cut a slot across the mole tunnel for each of the moving arm(s) on the trap to allow them to open and set. I did. Worked on 1st try

Bought this over the weekend and set it for the first time last night on a raised mole trail by my garden. Woke up today with a trapped mole. If you follow the instructions and set it on active trails, you will catch these critters.

What a waste of money.

Wish we could get a refund. Is so difficult to set we still have not figured it out! So needless to say it is setting in our garage doing nothing.

Next to impossible to set unless you have a extraordinarily wide tunnel and even then you'll be digging out a space to set it.

Gone within a few hours!

This worked very effectively. You have to know you have an active tunnel. Trap is easy to bury, set, and release.

Caught my mole in less than 2 hours. couldnt believe it was one doing all that damage

Disappointed.

The trap is very hard to set. The plastic sides are difficult to push into soil. (I know you can use a shovel for this part.) The soil caked on the part that goes into ground. Maybe useful during a drought.

The Best, Works GREAT

I bought this a few months ago but didnt start using it until 28 days ago. I have killed 24 moles in 28 days. My record is 4 in a day. It is crazy how good this works. I have only seen it trip and NOT get the rodent twice. In the last 3 years I've used different traps and killed 3 moles. With TomCat it's a whole new ball game..... and I'm winning.
