Best trap for moles ever!

I have spent years buying poison to kill the things moles eat and bought castor oil products to repel moles which neither solved the mole problem. My wife bought 2 of these mole traps and in the last month I have caught and killed 4 moles in my yard. I loaned one to my neighbor and he has caught 2 moles in the last 2 weeks.Unbelievable product!

They keep breaking

The trap works great, up until it doesn't. I seem to get 2 or 3 moles and then the release mechanism wears out. When this happens the trap doesn't work and the mole just goes right though. I have had to replace the trap 3 times. Works but disappointed in the quality.

Broke a claw

I bought this trap in May 2021 and after I set it for the first time, I caught a mole within several hours. Thinking "Wow, this is great". However, I have set it numerous times and have never caught another. My problem is, when I was trying to set it today, I broke one of the bottom claws. I thought it was suppose to be tougher than that. Dissapointed.

Thee VERY BEST mole trap on the market

I live on a small muck farm, next to a wet land reserve. Needless to say I get a lot of critters passing thru. Being my land is soft black dirt n loaded with worms n grubs, I had many moles when I moved in. I have 2 1/2 acres of yard, the moles where leaving it a mess n hard to mow. I tried everything from plunge tras, to snap traps, to poison pellets to poison worms to mole deterrent chemicals, to vibrating moles stakes. I would get a few, but never got them all. UNTIL I bought the TomCat mole...

Two out of three I purchased broke

I ordered three of these traps and I will say they are the best traps I have used for moles BUT I have 2 of the 3 that broke in the same place. Is there a way I can get replacements parts ? I do love these traps but I cannot keep buying them if they break in the same place on 2 of 3 traps.

Does not work in rocky, hard soil

Bought these because of Made-in-the-USA quality and they are very well built traps. Unfortunately, the jaws are made of plastic and are not sharp enough to allow the trap to be set in rocky, hard soil. I followed the instructions on the box for digging out some dirt to ease setting the trap, but still did not have success getting the trap to set. I believe this is a good product, just needs some changes to work effectively in southern Missouri's hard and rocky soil. Will continue as a custom...

Didn’t work long

Bought late last year. One, we have families of moles and this is only product we used that never tripped even once. It sat in place all fall. This spring, went to use and it won’t even set. It takes tons of force to try and push down on the plate and it won’t lock. Very disappointed given the price. We will send receipt to Tomcat to see if guarantee will be honored. Maybe a fluke but sure won’t buy another like this.

Worked then did not work

Set the trap and caught 2 moles right away. I then tried to set it again and it would not set (latch, arm). I did not see any broken parts.

Good product

Without a doubt the product delivers - my concern is that I have bought three - I use two at a time however one of the claws snapped off. Not sue what kind of warranty comes with the traps.

Finally a mole trap that works!

I had tried two other mole traps with no luck. Then I bought three of these tomcat mole traps. Caught my first mole the next day. At first they were a little hard to work with but once I got the hang of it they are much easier to use. I have now caught 8 moles in my yard. I would recommend these to anyone with a mole problem.

Mole Trap does not work

Plus, the one I bought in the store had dirt on it which indicated somebody had returned it earlier.

This does not work I have tried multiple items to kill moles I came across this item because it had nothing dangerous for my pups Unfortunately this is something I would not recommend

Piece of Junk

Do not buy this junk. I was able to get it to set one time, and thats it! Very frustrating. Tried to set it about 100 times with no success.

Tomcat Mole trap

This trap is useless, at least the one I bought is. I've followed all the instructions, viewed YouTube and made necessary adjustments, but I still cant get it set by pushing down with my foot... TOTALLY USELESS and a total waste of money.

Waste of money

This trap might work for some people but it never has never worked for me. I have set it 6 times with not even a nibble. Jaws get locked after setting when you pull it out of the ground. Go with another brand Tomcat is CRAP!

Ground is too hard

This trap has a scissor action that has to close underground. When you set the trap, it forces it open so it has theoretically cleared the path to close again. I find that I had to dig a little bit to help it open. It tripped once, but didn't catch the mole. I tried a different one later (Answer mole trap) that actually worked; it sends spikes straight down when tripped.

Highly recommended

I found this trap while searching Google. I bought it last night around 5 pm. I placed it in the yard per instructions on the box. When I woke up this morning, less than 10 hours later, I already had a mole. Very satisfied!

Garbage

Bought this and moles don't trigger, not springs to tight or what but definitely doesn't work.
