Awesome worked with 10 min to trap!! 5/3/2020

We bought this today after trying: smoking it out, bait pellets, bait worms and castor oil spray-NONE OF THESE WORKED! HOWEVER, This trap DID THE TRICK! We placed it immediately after purchase and 10 min the yellow peddle piped up and we got it! After so much damage to our yard finally a project worked! We are in eastern VA and this worked today 5/3/2020

Buy this for moles!!!! Awesome Product!!

We had a mole terrorizing our back yard! We tried smoking it out, bait pellets, bait worms, and the spray to deter this little monster! None of those worked. Within 10 min of this trap being set 5/3/2020 we finally got this annoyance! Buy this first and you will not be disappointed! We are in eastern VA and love this product!

Second year and still loving these traps!!!

This is my second year using the same 2 traps and I would replace them in a heartbeat if I lost them. IF you follow the instructions, use a flat spade to assist in making the 2 jaw cuts and BE SURE TO USE YOUR HEEL TO DEPRESS THE SOIL BETWEEN THE CUTS, you will NOT have any difficulty setting the trap. My region is hard clay soil and I still easily set my traps ! Pick an active run and keep putting the trap back after you catch one. I took 3 from the site today.

Does not last

Effective at catching moles but after 2 months it is broken and wont release the jaws no matter what i try ....not happy about the money spent...found ones that are all steel may go eith those

It's like the fish just quit biting.

First year I used one, several moles were caught so we purchased two more. Fast forward 3 years later, only 1 mole has been caught although traps are constantly tripped. Pul them up with no mole. Yard is now a hot mess.

This thing works great, I've already caught two, even though I wasn't sure I was setting it right. I guess I was! It is a bit frustrating to set, just have to fool around with how to cut the slots in the lawn for the jaws.

Works great and I don't have to worry about my dog getting into poison. Highly recommend.

Great Product!

Within one week of setting the trap, we were able to trap two moles with one shot! This was after using all other kinds of products for months!

Breaks easily, no repair parts.

Used for few times and worked well, then very small locking 'foot' broke...no repair part. Trash.

Tomcat Mole Trap

This trap is easier to use than the popular spike trap. I do use both. The trap is easier to use by setting it with your foot rather than pulling up on the spring loaded spikes.

After reviewing U-Tube videos thought this was the cats meow, but nope, it really takes a lot of muscle to set even with foot. Second, if the ground is hard cannot set , even after pre-digging with shovel still hard to set , would work in soft dirt maybe .

Not so good.

This is too complicated and hard to use. Requires precise digging and placement then cross your fingers. It sis not work for me but as always , Lowe's stands behind what it sells and I did not lose out. Love Lowe's.

Worked quickly & effectively

I don't generally write product reviews, but I feel compelled to share how highly I think of this product. I was out of town for a couple of weeks and a mole moved into our yard. The tunnels made the lawn unsightly, but they were also a hazard. There's a lot of soccer played in our backyard and stepping on a tunnel was a sprained ankle waiting to happen. I tried a couple types of granule repellent, with no luck. I didn't want to go the poison pellet/worm route, out of fear of accidental ing...

useless product if you have rocky soil

I bought it, but I cannot use it most places in my yard. I tried to clear a path through the rocks to the appropriate depth(4 Inches) and appropriate length (also 4 inches) but I could not set the trap, or even push down on the setting mechanism once it was in the ground. My old trap that punched holes in the mole was hard enough to find a place to set it, but this trap is more trouble than it is worth.

Works, but it's plastic!

I'm having a terrible time with moles especially this year. I'm currently using granular repellent, solar powered vibration/sound makers, Grub-X, and this trap along with 2 other METAL traps. This trap has caught 3 moles for me this year - which is excellent, but if your ground is hard, the scissors on this trap will break as they are made of plastic. I had one of the scissor legs break on me couple weeks ago, which was after about 2 months of continuous usage. The ground was hard and I tried to...

Tomcat Mole trap

I purchased this because I thought we had a huge problem with moles but it ended up being voles. The trap was easy to set and I was looking forward to see how well it worked to catch the critters! But it ended up being voles instead of moles so they were not getting trapped.
