I bought the trap at lowes due to bad mole problems at my house. I saw the day before putting the trap out a long mole tunnel. I followed the directions and put one out. 15 minutes later I was in the yard and noticed it was sprung. I thought it maybe wasn't set good but to my surprise it caught a very big mole and killed it fast with no mess. Great job so far in my yard..

Purchased this trap a Lowes (Monett, Mo) along with Tomcat worm poison. The worms disappeared so I thought I had won the battle of moles in my High Tunnel greenhouse. I was planning to return this mole trap for credit without using it. Then the raised earth runs re-appeared. Guess they may have just stored the worms in their kitchen area for future eating as moles can do. ONE OF THE WORST PRODUCTS I HAVE TRIED TO USE. WOULD NOT WORK IN SOFT SOIL. i WEIGH 250 LB AND WAS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO SET

WOULD NOT WORK IN SOFT SOIL AND WOULD NOT TRIP ON ACTIVE TUNNELS. I WHIGH 250 LB AND VERY HARD TO SET IN SOFT SOIL AND ACTUALLY COLLAPSED THE TUNNELS WHEN TRYING TO SET IT.

good concept

Hardy construction easy to use good instructions but a learning curve for setting in right place right way. Good instructions and videos available online.

Purchased the Mole Trap. Worked the third try. Crushed the mole!

Not for hard and rocky land

I have tried to use this for six months on a 1.5 acre area. There are a lot of rocks with a very thin layer of topsoil in this area. The thick plastic prongs are impossible to get in the ground without me having to use a shovel to try to get rocks out of the way or to dig a slot deep enough to get the trap deep enough to have the trigger where it needs to be. I have had zero (0) success using this in my area. I consider this a waste of money and time.

Caught the first mole in less than two hours!

Awesome! This the first trap I have EVER had success with - and so quickly! Absolutely impressed!

worked as advertised

The first day I had it I set it in the morning on the way to work and when I got home that evening it had trapped the mole. Couldn't ask for more. No wondering if poison did its job, there is no doubt this way. It was simple to set and seems quite safe. I highly recommend it.

Worked in less than 12 hours

Bought it, installed it at 6:00 PM, removed first mole at 5:00 AM as I left the house for work. Can't ask for better results than that.

Takes practice to set. It does work.

I get moles a lot in the back yard. I use this Tomcat trap and one by Sweeney with spikes. Both traps work as advertised, but this one from Tomcat is much more humane. The Sweeney spikes don't kill moles, it just spears them and you have to finish them off later. I caught a smaller sized mole today with it. Perfect solution when all else fails!

I've been plagued with moles this summer regardless of the grub killer, liquid fence anti-mole solution, and those horrible and worthless sonic spikes. I didn't feel comfortable putting down poison given the amount of neighborhood cats and other animals around, so I tried this trap. I put the trap in the ground Sunday AM, exactly according to the instructions. Not successful

I followed the instructions: tested the tunnels, selected tunnels in use, and set three traps. After several days with no success, I tested other tunnels and moved the traps. Still no success, even though there was additional mole activity. Then I set the traps in a third location, still with no success. The most disappointing thing was that the trap would not set in many apparently appropriate locations. The instructions said this was probably due to the soil being too soft. Well, duh: mo...

This trap is a cheap piece of plastic that does not work!

Out of the box this is a bad product

Digging the trenches so the jaws work digs up the lawn as bad as the moles.

Garbage. Don't waste your money

I had a victor plunger style for 6+ years and pretty well cleared my yard. ($12). Wore it out and Didn't have moles for a few years. Bought this in the spring and threw it away today. Hard to set, never trapped a single one, they just went around it. When you have to tear the tunnel up so much digging channels for it, slim chance they will use the tunnel again. Impossible to set

I'm rating 2 stars since it should be good.....I admit to being a petite woman and could not set this since I wasn't strong-footed enough, however, I had our lawn maintenance man come to set the trap and he wasn't able to set it either. So at this point, it is still brand new in the box (for 3 months now) and it has been sitting awaiting a strong-enough visitor to help me set it. In the meantime, I had to purchase the "bait-worms" and had the lawn maintenance man put those out. Still evidence...

Excellent

My yard has been torn to pieces for the past two years. I purchased the spring mole traps, a metal mole trap and never got even one mole. I purchased the TomCat and haven taken out 6 moles in two weeks. I finally feel like I will get my lawn back. Thank You for an excellent product that does it exactly what it says it does!

Great device

Purchased in March and have trapped 9 moles to date.

For 3 years I've got zero moles until tomcat,I've got 3 in last month..and ive tried most remedies...I've tried the spike trap, the poison worms, bubble gum, poison bait pellets, even pawpaws mole guide...tomcat is the best by far...#oklahoma
