Works exactly as advertised. Had mole tunnels all over the front & back yard. After trying every poison and deterrent out there, used thisbtrap & caught/killed both moles!

Best trap ever!

Caught both moles tearing up my yard in less than 4 hours using two traps. Easy to use. Moles don't stand a chance with me now!

It works

Moles have been leaving trails in my front yard, so I decided to try one of these. I set it in one of their long, straight trails and waited. Two days later the trap was sprung. I pulled it out and had my first mole! The trap works as advertised. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the instructions need to be a little clearer about how to set the trap. You definitely need to cut slots in the soil to accommodate the trap's jaws. Instructions suggest you need to do this only in ha...

Got ‘Em!

This trap is great. If you are not catching them, then you are not monitoring an active tunnel. The instructions are a little confusing; the trick is to flatten the tunnel with your heel and then cut slots across the tunnel with a spade to make room for the jaws. When the mole comes along and pushes the dirt up out of the way, they get caught in the jaws. A little gnarly but I bet it is a quick end at least.

One night, one mole

Amazing results. 12 hours after setting, the mole was caught. This is a long term solution since it can be reused. No regrets on this purchase.

Works Great!!!

If you don't catch a mole, it's likely because you didn't follow the directions closely. It's all about finding the perfect location to place it. Find a active tunnel and place it over the tunnel. Before setting the trap, Watch YouTube videos and your set to go. I set my trap last night and caught a mole this morning. I was shocked!

Actually works!

I have had 1 false trigger off this trap. Caught at least 7 moles. If its set up correctly it works every time. Find an active tunnel, Push down a 4" section, Cut 2 slots for the blades, one extra thumb push where the trigger goes, work the pedal/blade motion a few times to clear the path, set it, and forget it.

Success in under 24 hours

After a few weeks of trying to chase a mole around (and out of) the yard with sprays and granules, this caught it in less than 24 hours. Just read the instructions carefully.

Highly recommended design online

The design was highly recommended online for catching moles. I deployed it yet failed to find an active tunnel. Will continue to try.

The best I have found!

I bought this trap as the moles were ripping my front yard apart. I set the trap and within 5 minutes I had my first catch. Needless to say I reset the trap in a different area and caught a second mole by the next morning. 4 days go by and 4 moles caught. I love it!

Works great

Purchased this item this morning about 10am, it did take a bit to get it set up, but once set up two hours later had my first mole, moved it and reset it, thirty min later got second mole, needless to say I just reset it again. After trying all other methods of just running them off to no avail, it was time to just get rid of them and so far working like a dream.

Difficult

As a senior citizen I found it difficult to implant and set.

Tomcat mole trap.

This trap was very very hard to set. My husband, son and myself tried to step on the trap unsuccessfully. I finally had someone who was used to setting mole traps try to set the Tom Cat trap. He was unsuccessful and declared the trap broken. I returned the trap and am now looking for a trap that is easier to set and works. The instructions are very vague. Set and Go

Love these traps have about 8-9 of them for my yard and parents. set as the directions say and work very well. They do not rust easy to set since using them have a 90-95% catch rate

I had a mole that had devastated the area around my apple tree. I had tried the spike type traps in the past and never had much luck with them. I saw the reviews on the Tom Cat and they look promising. My first attempt was a fail the ground was wet and sticky lots of clay soil and the jaws could not move smoothly. The second attempt I made sure there was lots of clearance and set the trap off to make sure the the jaws closed success! Caught a large mole. Hard to believe that one mole could do so...
