What Customers Are Saying
The Tomcat Kill & Contain Mouse Trap has had a mixed performance. The older version was praised as effective, easy to use, and providing a clean way to deal with mice. However, the newer redesigned version seems to have significant issues - many customers report that the mice are able to enter the trap, eat the bait, and exit without getting caught. The trigger mechanism also appears to be problematic, with many users unable to get the trap to set properly or trigger when a mouse enters. Several customers expressed disappointment with the new design, stating that the old version worked much better.

Would Not RecommendJust plain don’t work! Have visible activity. Glue traps in same location hit 100%. Over engineered junk. With glue boards at half the cost. Done with these.

It works! No mess!
I. Do not have to touch the mouse! It was very easy to set. Only negative, is large size.

Complete Waste of Money!
Would Not RecommendI bought these a week ago. You can tell around and inside the mouse spent time. So all I did by buying these was supply the mouse with food.

Not effective
Would Not RecommendBought two, they have been in place where mouse droppings are and have not caught any mice for 3 weeks. We used peanut butter. We did NOT put the bait in the front but in the bait container as directed. We got these because we have kids and needed a safer, cleaner alternative. Going to have to go with something different.

Zero mice caught
Would Not RecommendInitially used sticky traps with only two caught but then were able to get unstuck by morning. Then I found these and purchased 6. Put 4 out with peanut butter. The mice obviously are all around it but not one has gone in. Now switching to the snap traps.

Mouse Galore
It did not come with poison. Left it set for few days until my wife said I had to put something inside to attract mouse. It finally worked.

Did not work!
Would Not RecommendSet the traps, bought the little bottle of stuff (sold separately) that was supposed to attract the mouse, NOTHING! Traps still set -- not a nibble. Don't waste your money.

Does NOT trap the mice
Would Not RecommendThe trap does NOT close behind the mouse. It allowed the mouse to eat the bait and then exit the trap without triggering the trap closed. I tried to trip it by placing a screwdriver into the trap but it wouldn’t trigger closed. This new design is terrible.

They don’t work!
Would Not RecommendSo disappointed! I bought several and set up in various locations in our basement. I should have put up a big “Free Mouse Buffet” because the mice go in, eat the bait and then leave! Maybe if I keep feeding them they will get heavy enough to set off the trap!

Do not buy
Would Not RecommendI have purchased a few sets of these now and have not yielded any results despite my night vision cameras showing mice using them as full on jungle gyms. Mice will crawl in and out all throughout the night with zero repercussions. This product should be renamed to Tomcrap.

Newer design? Doesn’t work
Would Not RecommendPrevious kill/containment design had worked fine for the occasional seasonal mice popping up. Why did that design get changed?? With this newer design the mice go in, have a snack from the bait trap at the back, and climb out again, tracking the peanut butter bait as they leave. Im trying the snap traps now, not happy I’ve spent money for these newer traps that don’t work.

Touchless mouse control
Would RecommendThey are easy to bait and put out, and when they catch the mouse you never have to touch it, just throw the whole thing in the trash.

Clean, and easy to use.
Would RecommendIt worked as advertised. Used in my garage. Simple to use and dispose.
