What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this ceiling hook for its exceptional sturdiness and reliability, with most highlighting its ability to securely hold heavy plants, lights, wind chimes, and bird feeders without requiring ceiling studs. The white vintage-inspired design receives consistent appreciation for blending seamlessly with home decor. Installation is widely noted as straightforward with included hardware and dual fastening options. A small number of users report installation challenges such as broken hooks, chipped paint, or stripped threads, though these represent a minor portion of feedback. Overall, most customers trust the hook for long-term durability and recommend it.

Would Not RecommendI don’t write many reviews. This flaw is infuriating to figure out and I don’t want anyone else to waste their time like I did. If using the toggle bolt in normal 1/2” drywall ceiling to hold a small basket, the threaded rod will not screw in all the way and the hook will not be tight to the ceiling. It is tapered, i.e. the toggle bolt thread and the hook thread are slightly different diameters. The solution is to cut off about 5/8” of the “hook” side of the threaded rod with a Dremel or ot...
Great Universal Hook
Would RecommendJust stopped in to check store availability. We have used a dozen of these hooks. Installed inside in with 3/8" swag mounts (size is stamped on the toggle) in hollow ceiling areas with no issues. We have hanging plants and lights, thanks Maryland for building houses with switched outlets in bedrooms instead of ceiling lights. We used the screws in windows without drilling, be careful to turn at the base to prevent breaking the hooks. None of the things hanging are over 25 lbs. Headed to Lowe's a...
Needs to be re-tightened often; breaks easily
Would Not RecommendAs the title says. Having to re-tighten, and sometimes replace, these hooks every month really makes them a hassle.
Holds Plants as Designed
Would RecommendI have bought 4 or 5 of these recently and hung numerous plants. All screwed into studs, some pre-drilled, some not. All of them work as designed and I have experienced no failures. 4 stars because the packaging was damaged on almost all of them, making me pick through the box at Lowe’s to retrieve all the parts.
wear gloves when you install
Would Not Recommendthree times now, while hand-tightening into the facia board of the house, the tip has broken off the hook. Same place, same way, which renders it useless. I pre-drilled and this is going into soft, pine wood. First time it happened, left me with a nice cut on the inside of my index finger. I'd say there might be a quality issue with the forming of these things.
Thanks for your feedback and it is extremely valuable to us. We regret that your purchase did not live up to expectation. It has always been our aim ...
I thought it was just fine
Would RecommendPerfect for the price; my only complaint was that I had to guess at the size hole to drill for the toggle bolt, as it didn't seem to be marked anywhere. No issues with the hook or the installation.
Fragile
Would Not RecommendThese seem to be made out of pot metal. I too drilled pilot hole and when screwing hook in by hand into 1/4 inch roughtex trim board, the paint on the hook chipped and the tip broke off. Install with caution.
Garbage
Would Not RecommendI bought two of these and managed to break both while screwing them in after drilling pilot holes. Total waste of money.

There are 2 different kinds of screws included with our swag hooks.
The screws that go with the toggle bolts are 2-3/4” threaded studs. One end...
