Take Precautions to Protect Birds!

We bought two of these and so far they are 100% effective at keeping the squirrels from reaching the suet and seed feeders. However, today we rescued an American Goldfinch who had gotten her foot caught in the slot where the edges of the baffle hook together. I slid the tip of a flat screwdriver along the slot and gently pried it apart while my husband held the little bird. She was able to pull her foot free as the opening got wider and flew away as soon as he opened his hand. So, be aware that...

Adequate, but flimsy

The baffle material is thin enough to seem a little flimsy. The anchor bracket is very flimsy, just barely large enough to hold up the baffle, and lacks holes for hanging hooks from it.

Yes, it works!

Amazingly simple, yet very effective. A little pricey for the material but works beautifully. After trying many other ideas, I came across this and decided to give it a shot. I have watched the squirrels try to figure it out but no luck for them. Definitely worth it.

I would buy it again

It works. Installs in minutes. Fits a 1"x1" metal post. The manufacturer's sticker isn't removed easily. A little pricey.

Product is nice a sturdy and works well to keep squirrels off feeder. The only thing I wish it had was another closer hook or something at the top like the bottom.

Best baffle

I placed this on my my bird feeder pole I got from Lowes and now I watch the squirrels slide back down the pole works like. Charm.

We were having an issue with squirrels

This metal cone does what it’s meant to do. Squirrels were feasting on the seeds meant for the birds. The squirrels have met their match. Now they settle for the seeds that drop on the lawn. 👍👍👍

Worked great. Keeps squirrels off our bird feeder. Had to modify the pole mount because it was too small in diameter.

Do not buy this. Find another brand.

The product did not stay tight on the feeder pole and the baffle (shield) separated very easily. It needs a screw to keep the baffle together.

Maybe it will work for you

I dunno. It won't fit my feeder pole, maybe i can improvise something. No matter how i followed the instructions, it won't close small enough to go around the pole

Simple to install and works as long as the feeder is tall enough and far enough away from objects that would allow them to jump and bypass the cone.
