Would RecommendI was having problems with my oven. It took much longer to cook things than the recipes said they would. This little gadget solved everything for me. After a few tests, I realized what my problem was. Turns out the foil pan I placed in the bottom rack of my oven to catch drippings was causing it to take MUCH longer to warm up (yeah I know, DUH). Thermometer discolors, impossible to read
Would Not RecommendWe bought this thermometer to verify the digital temperature of our oven matched the actual temperature (we had an inkling it was off, which it was, by nearly 50 degrees)! So while the temp of the thermometer seems accurate, the face of the thermometer itself discolors after the first use and is almost completely unreadable after the second. The only way to read the thermometer was to take it out of the oven entirely, which seems to defeat the purpose. Even then you are trying to read black text...
