What Customers Are Saying
The Sta-Green Flower and Vegetable Garden Soil has received mixed reviews. Some customers report excellent results growing a variety of plants, while others have encountered significant issues. Positive feedback includes the soil's good value, effective plant growth, and easy-to-work-with texture. However, many customers have reported problems such as excessive non-soil materials, poor water retention, and the presence of debris, leading to stunted plant growth and crop failures. The quality and composition of the soil can vary, so customers are advised to inspect it closely before use and consider mixing it with other soil amendments.

The guy who loaded the bags was GREAT! He came out in the hot weather and loaded most of the bags by himself. Some of the bags were damaged and had water in them that got into my Subaru. The guy apologized and asked me if I still wanted them and that was all they had at the time. I need them so I took them but then had to clean out my car and had to remove my rear cover and hose it off. This may be great stuff for a good price with a nice helper but leaky bags with some having water in them...

Not what it used to be.
Would Not RecommendDefinitely not what it used to be. This used to be my go to when it came to garden soil. Now it’s more like mulch than soil, full of sticks and even rocks. I won’t continue to buy this.

Perfect for rasied beds
Would RecommendWas perfect for the raised bed. Veggies are growing well and stays moist
Listen to the bad reviews!
Would Not RecommendI bought four bags of this to finish off a raised bed. The first bag I opened looked like nice rich soil. The remaining 3 look like mulch. This was my first time trying this product and it looks like I’ll never buy it again! I’m going to have to spend more money to amend the soil to make it useable than if I had just bought the same brand I had before. Stay away!

Wood chips and filler
Would Not RecommendPotting soil in bags or containers, of course, vary from year to year. However, quality control is really not that difficult, especially when you've got a mixture that is ready to be bagged and run your fingers through it and the majority is uncomposted wood chips. Of course fungus is going to grow out of it. Of course new and existing plants are going to wither and yellow from the high nitrogen content. You've got to be kidding me when you tell me that someone involved with quality control for ...
Hi, we're sorry to read about your disappointment with Sta-green Flower & Vegetable Garden Soil Plus Fertilizer and appreciate your feedback....

Buy if you want everything to die!
Would Not RecommendI'm so angry that I spent $94.00 on this and have no way to get my money back! It is the worst 'vegetable and flower soil' I've ever used. All the plants died that were put in this - some I was able to transplant into better soil and they are thriving now. It is full of fungus and grows nasty mushrooms, completely wood chips and who knows what else! It is truly the worst product I have ever used.

Nice dark soil
Would RecommendSeems rich and fertile. You could smell a bit of a manure scent to it when it was first put into the raised bed. I'll know more later about how good this soil is.
Great mulch but expensive.
Would Not RecommendThis 'top soil' is great mulch. Nothing grew where I put it in my garden including weeds. However there are less expensive mulch options. It is not soil. It is fertilized fine wood chips.

I own a nursery
Would RecommendThis garden soil is amazing it works well with flowers when you dig your hole, take this garden soil and mix it with liquid kelp or Moringa powder put some in the hole, then add your seed or your plants. Make sure you give plants plenty of water or non alcoholic beer and your plants will grow
No good garden soil
Would Not RecommendI have been gardening for years and I’ve never had a problem growing plants. The plants have been very slow growing and they have plenty of sun light. There seems to be a lot of bark mixed in with the dirt. I even mixed it with compost. I bought it because it was cheaper but I won’t do that again.
