Would RecommendI'm patching areas of my lawn that died for no apparent (to me) reason. I put down a 1" layer of topsoil and seeded a number of areas. Two weeks later, I just cut the patches (2" inches high) and they look great!

OK Grass Seed
Would Not RecommendThis grass seed was OK. Much of it did not germinate. At least not yet. Conditions haven't been perfect though either. Its been either too hot or too wet. I never had a period of 2 weeks perfect conditions. The grass was planted in the Scott's Lawn Soil with starter fertilizer. I'd say approximately 50% germinated, but still hasn't matured. Perhaps it will do better with additional aeration.

Would RecommendThis may have a lower price, but dont let that push you away. The seed for me started to sprout 10 day after putting down and keeping moist. No weeds,hearty, sun and shade, etc. Pleasant outcome. Impressed. Definitely recommend.

Would RecommendSta-Green grass seed performs as well or better than Scott's and doesn't cost as much as Scott's. With Scott's grass seed you're paying for the name. With Sta-Green grass seed you're paying for a good quality product.

Fast and easy
Would RecommendHad to regrade an area on the side of the house. This side is mostly in the shade a majority of the day. Within 1 week, the grass was growing. All I did was throw this down and water it the first day. Sprinklers did the rest of the work. 3 weeks later (now) grass is getting higher and will need to be cut soon. Great stuff. I need to get more of it but the store was out of stock.

temporary lawn
Would Not RecommendThis seed must be for a temporary lawn. It took at least 3 weeks for the seeds to start growing. I mixed it with the StaGreen Lawn soil and layed it out this spring. It grew in very patchy and had to reseed the area multiple times and could not get the reseeded to grow. The part that did grow looked okay for about two months, but now it completely dead. This must be a temporary lawn product but I would not think so considering what i paid for the large bag of seed. Do not buy stagreen product...
