What Customers Are Saying
The Sta-Green Bermuda grass seed had mixed results. Many customers reported the seed germinated quickly and provided good coverage and growth, especially in sunny areas. However, a significant number of customers also had negative experiences, with the seed failing to grow at all or only growing in patches. The quality and performance of the product seemed to depend on proper planting and following instructions closely.

Grows Great in ATL
Would RecommendThis is my first time trying Bermuda from seed and I have had excellent results.
Not Good for Poor Sandy Soil
Would Not RecommendFirst I tilled the soil, then conditioned it with lime and starter fertilizer. I used 15# of this seed and tons of weeds came up along with a little bit of grass. It must have excess weed seed in the mix. Some areas had to be reseeded two extra times. Not recommended for poor, sandy soil in Florida. Pay a little more and get quality seed from a Florida seed company which I did. Their Bermuda grass seed is doing well but does take a good 2-3 weeks to germinate. Planting grass requires lots of tim...
Good Results
Would RecommendWe planted the seeds in our front yard (north and northwest facing yard), on May 30, and the backyard (south and west), on June 4. Sprouts showed in the backyard first. Both yards were tilled, with starter and top soil used. There are some inconsistent sprouting but it could be that too much top soil is on the seeds. Also, I understand that a north facing yard is slower to show growth for some things. The sprinkler is set for 4x a day, from 5-7 min at each zone, depending on location, as we have...
Grows quickly
Would RecommendPlanted June 1 in upstate South Carolina. It was growing nicely by June 10 and continued filling in for the next few days.
Slower in hot so cal
Would RecommendI used starter fertilizer as well as watered with timer sprinklers twice per day. It did not grow after the 7-10 days and now 2.5 weeks later it’s growing in patches. Mainly the patches that were over watered Or puddled. I think I’m the 80 plus temps it needed more water than most places.
Does Not Grow Well in Central Florida
Would Not RecommendAs stated on the bag, this Sta-Green Bermuda grass seed was tested in CA and TX only, but not in FL. I tilled the ground, raked, applied lime and starter fertilizer. Very little of almost 15# that I put down germinated. Whereas native Florida Bermuda grass seed which I purchased online from a Central Florida grass seed farm germinated well and started coming up after about 7-10 days. The first photo is of the Sta-Green seed and the second of the Florida native seed.
Grass seed that will grow.
Would RecommendAdded seed to fresh dirt and covered... bam grass seed

Failed to germinate
Would Not RecommendI would have been happy with 20 percent germination. As far as I can tell, I got 0 percent.
Weeds be gone
Would RecommendBought this at a discount due to the bag being open. Put it down and a few days later the eeeds were slowly dying.
