Frustrating

Item was incredibly over-complicated. I wanted an outlet that would display real-time current/wattage load. Description claimed this plug could do that but wouldn't. Required an account, download app, app can't locate wireless, 1 hour later finds wireless but doesn't display any data. Website warns that app is going to be discontinued without notification. What's not to like?

Energy measurement is quite accurate,able to see energy usage plot over time is so much more useful at seeing how the device consumption change over time. I’ve used it to measure the various ways on devices around my home, and there were definitely some surprises.

difficult to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was hoping this product would simplify my life but it made it extremely difficult to try and figure out the instructions. I still have not been able to set it up properly. I am not sure what i am doing wrong but i will definitley not be using this product.

Cool / Useful "gadget"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very cool, easy to use and easy to set up "plug". We use this in our living room especially because I arrive home after the sun has set. We've programmed our living room lamps and turn it on before I return home so I'm not walking into a "dark house" and the end of the day! I'm a sucker for a new gadget and this one did not disappoint!

Nice product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These little smart plugs are incredibly easy to pair and use. I lost the remote for my electronic fireplace and it’s controlled with a physical switch. I’m now able to ask Alexa to control it along with my lamps. I have a default set for the fireplace to automatically turn off after an hour of use, same with my hair straightener so if I fall asleep or leave the house forgetting either.

Nice to control the on/off of a device from phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product has been good for monitoring the electricity usage of a particular electronic device. I have also been able to easily control turning an object on and off using the app. I put our Christmas tree on this plug and was able to control it from anywhere in our house or even turn it on and off while we were away for the weekend. The app is not the most user friendly and would be my biggest complaint but I was able to figure it out enough...

Great features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using these for quite some time now and have a couple of the older plugs (larger in size). The fact that these can be controlled through your app from anywhere you are is a great convenience. I primarily use these for light decorations inside and outside of the house.

Easy Setup!!!!

I've setup a couple of smart plugs throughout my house and they were extremely confusing to set them up. Great smart plug

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been slowly switching over to smart plugs in our house. This Square -D brand WiFi plug is easy to use and works great. You can use it with with your smart devices (we use it with Alexa) or you can simply use it with your phone. It’s super quick and easy to set up. I’m definitely going to purchase more of these and convert my entire home.

Genius

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this outlet for about 6 weeks. It is truly a great technological asset. Truly love the regular outlet along with the Wi-Fi. Granted it did take time and patience in my end to get Wi-Fi and Alexa in sync but it it well worth the effort.

The good and bad

So far I like it bt i ordered two one works just fine the other one won't connect to the network i have tried to hard restart the device something over and over

It's nice to be able to turn the lamp on and off without having to get up and cross the room to do so. I can think of several other uses for this plug and will likely be getting more to use around my house.

Works well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have bought other plug-in Wi-Fi outlets before and they seem to not work well with my network router from my home Wi-Fi. But this unit definitely works well 100% of the time always responds through the app and I use it to keep the heater on and off and one of my smaller rooms in my house which saves us time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Square D Wi-Fi 15A plug-in outlet connects directly to your home network. I discovered that I am able to turn my living room light on or off from anywhere with wi-fi. I will be purchasing more for other rooms in the house.

Not bad

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this on my Christmas tree outlet. Like all wifi plugs, you have to download the app. I did that and haven't had any trouble. No issues with connectivity. It's nice to be able to control turning my tree on and off while we are running around for the holidays.
