Ratings & Reviews for SpeedOut 4 -Pack HSS Double-Ended 2-in Screw extractor set

What Customers Are Saying
Customers are divided on these screw extractors. Most praise the two-step drilling and extraction process for stripped screws in accessible applications, noting it saves time and prevents costly replacements. Many highlight the durable build, compact storage case, and intuitive design. However, a substantial portion report failure—bits snapping off, poor grip on rusted or stainless steel fasteners, and shallow extraction flutes causing slippage. Several question the carbon steel material quality. Success depends on proper technique: using a standard drill, drilling slowly in reverse, and ensuring alignment. Overall, most find it effective when used correctly, though reliability remains inconsistent.

Limited Application - Soft Metal Screws Only
Would Not RecommendThis product has a good concept, but it is limited in its application. Bottom line is that it works well on soft metal screws, but it doesn’t work at all on hard metal screws. My go-to screws for projects around the house are standard wood or sheetrock screws – like the Grip-Rite #8 zinc wood screws or Grip-Rite #6 sheetrock screws sold at Lowes. I occasionally strip these screws when screwing into a hardwood, or if my bit is worn down, and I was excited to see a product like this Speed Out P...
I’m sure it will work on some screws.
Tried multiple different ways and watched videos. None of them worked to get the screw out. i’m sure if you have screws that haven’t been in something very long. It might work well, but for a screw that has been in a piece of metal for a little while like a stove appliance don’t have high hopes.

4 Piece screw extractor set.
Would RecommendThe 4 piece screw extractor set is great for stripped screws. Simple design, drill out on one end and flip over for the screw extractor. Set is more for medium size screws which is nice. Seems to be made with high quality steel and durable looking. I do recommend this set for medium to larger applications. This is definitely a plus for my tools collection.
It works if the head of your screw is stripped out

Great extractor
Would RecommendI was using a 21 volt Dewalt cordless drill to use these screw extractors. You place it on the drill like you would any other drill bit. Make sure it's tight. When using it against a screw you have to make sure the drill is set on reverse. I tried it on a stripped screw on a door hinge. This drill bit is dual sided, one side is to drill out the center part. The other side is used to extract the screw. The screw came out within seconds as advertised. I definitely recommend when you are in need of...
