What Customers Are Saying
Customers are divided on these screw extractors. Most praise the two-step drilling and extraction process for stripped screws in accessible applications, noting it saves time and prevents costly replacements. Many highlight the durable build, compact storage case, and intuitive design. However, a substantial portion report failure—bits snapping off, poor grip on rusted or stainless steel fasteners, and shallow extraction flutes causing slippage. Several question the carbon steel material quality. Success depends on proper technique: using a standard drill, drilling slowly in reverse, and ensuring alignment. Overall, most find it effective when used correctly, though reliability remains inconsistent.

Would RecommendWorks great! Received in good condition and the black case was labeled. A direction sheet was included as well. Tried it out on a screw on my workbench and it performed flawlessly!
Worked well
Would RecommendI’ve had a stripped screw I’ve been meaning to remove for well over a year now and thank goodness for this kit. As advertised it works with any drill. I can’t speak of its long term quality as we only used it once but I think the quality is pretty decent. I do think the set is pretty pricey for a what’s included.
Perfect Screw Extractor
Would RecommendGreat kit to have when that mess up comes your way!! Strong steel material that fits any sized screw that needs removed. Perfect case for ease of storage and organization.
4 -Pack HSS Double-Ended 2-in Screw extractor set
Would RecommendThe SpeedOut Micro - Damaged Screw Double ended - 4 piece set works great. It makes extracting screws easy. Easy to use, great price, and great quality. I definitely recommend
Good quality screw extractor
Would RecommendI got this as replacement for a set I bought at a local home improvement store that broke off. This seems to work good and I assume these are stronger than the ones I bought. I got all three versions: bolt 3-6mm, screws 6-12mm, and #1-#4. So far nothing broke so I think these are high quality.
Solid tool for removing most screws
Would RecommendThe SpeedOut Damaged Screw Extractors are solid tools for use with a 3/8” variable speed, reversible drill. The extractors are made of M2 tool steel, a type of high-speed steel known for its excellent hardness, toughness, and abrasion resistance. The kit contains four different size extractors with a protective case and easy to understand directions. The four tools can handle screw sizes ranging from #4 to #24. The extractors can be used with quick change type chucks. The tools pull most sc...
Drill and unscrew
Would RecommendIf you have some damaged screws to get out, this is the tool. It's as easy as drilling and unscrewing the damaged screw. These grab on right away and make it effortless to get those old screws out. Having an older home always comes with some great surprises when taking on a new project.
Speed-out
Would RecommendSpeed-out are great resource for extrating striped out screws or what ever else you have. You have to drill out in reverse at a moderately slow speed to not damage the drill. This kit has different sizes for different screws that your working with. These have tool steel grade. They work awesome.
These are great
Would RecommendI like these. It is even better that they come in their own little case. The case can lay flat in a toolbox. They aren't complicated to use but I wish the quick instructions were on the little card that can fit in the case. I do like that this case has the Speedout logo on the case Also, not sure about the claim of being used in an impact driver. I would need some kind of adapter to use them with my impact driver. But they work great in my drill. Overall these are great.
Ok quality. But worked well to remove
Would RecommendThe quality of this one was ok. I had one of the bits great and had to use another one. But over all was ok and did its purpose. Worked well once I changed the bit
back those screwsups out.
Would RecommendI used this screw extractor set to extract some older drywall screws in my remodeling project that would not come out and was stripped. You have to use the drill side of of the attachment to bore a hole, flip it around and then use the fine drill side to tap into the hole you just made. Definitely when you reverse the screw out you will need to just be slow and apply steady pressure while backing out. This set is great and provide 4 different sizes #1 - #4. Great to have in DIYer tool kit! Highl...
Great tool
Helpful set of tools. Came on time. Easy packaging. Need to use scissors to open. I would recommend for others if they have a tough screw that needs to be removed.
Easy peasy with this. Keep on to match
Getting out stripped screws is a pain.

It just works
Would RecommendWorked like a charm to back out a stripped screw from a very expensive commercial espresso machine. Life saver. Also tried it on 2 stripped screws in my Toyota radiator fan motor. They were very soft so required extra effort and pressure. They finally came out. Very satisfied with this product.
