10 times better than cheap old work boxes
Would Recommendsuper secure and depth adjustable. I use to use the flappy eared boxes but these are well worth the extra cost.. one thing I did notice was as the screws pull in it sets the box slightly deeper than held position. So recommend holding box out a 1/16 -1/8 in. practice to dial in

Used to replace smaller box in ceiling
Would RecommendI used this 2 gang box to replace a smaller electrical box in the ceiling that is holding up a light. I was having a very loud squeak in the ceiling from the person walking around above. I lucked out and it was around where the light is. I used wood shims to stick in and fill gaps between the top of the joists and bottom of the subfloor above and it actually worked. Would RecommendThese boxes mount very solid. A big improvement over the old Cut-in boxes with the flip tabs to mount the box to the sheetrock. I have been an electrician for 31 years and wish these boxes were available decades ago. Very handy for damaged box replacement and upgrades.
