Would not recommend.

I've definitely used better "budget" brands than this. The receptacle detector works well. How've the Voltage Detector is useless except as the flashlight option. You pretty much have to hold it EXACTLY a certain way (but who knows which way each time) AND have it in direct firm contact with the wire for it to pick up an electrical signal. I tested on a live, in use wire, and it barely read after several tries. Would not trust it with my life. On the multimeter the common plug stays in but...

Great kit to have around

The electrical tester kit is a great thing to have around any shop or house! Being able to see if the wire has power on with the ac voltage detector., to using the receptacle tester and using the multimeter to test everything else inbetween. Easy to use functions and simple displays makes using them a blast!

Great all around kit for homeowners!

Budget Friendly - Home Electrical Testing Kit

Easy to use DMM

This digital multimeter, circuit detector, and circuit checker all worked well. They are easy to use with visual lights and audible sounds. The circuit checker was easy to plug in and confirm that the circuit is wired correctly by checking the lights and confirming it matched the code on the tool.

I like the set this came in. Nice features sturdy

Works as expected. Fuses easy to access. The probe ends come with just a short point showing at the probe testing end. You simply pull off the probe end cover and then have a 1/2" long metal end for sticking in outlets etc.

Indispensable!

Every homeowner should own these testing tools. The pen and plug are very quick ways to keep you safe and ensure you've wired your outlet properly. The multimeter can be used for countless projects. I do wish the probes on the meter had slightly longer tips.

Nice device

A electrical device is just what I needed. I had been putting in outlet boxes around the house and some had been tripping. Letting me know before I completely butting it up I could check the oulet. The other device that plugs directly into an outlet is a nice add on as it’s either red or green. Thankfully mine were green and a no reading on another that I now know needs my attention. Nice handy device with no negative per this review.

Everything you need, including batteries!

This Southwire multimeter kit works really well. My favorite part is a light on the volt tester. A very small feature that sets it apart from its competition. I like cool things like that as a dad. It came with batteries so you’re able to use it right out of the box. Great stuff!

The Perfect Multimeter Test Kit

The perfect kit for home or professional use. The contacts on the multimeter are a great length, I had no issue making contact with the outlet poles behind the receptacles. I love that the manual ranging multimeter has a kickstand for convenience. 10/10

Great Kit for DIY homeowners

This kit is great for any DIY homeowner. It has the receptacle tester which can help diagnose different outlet issues, the ac current tester with flashlight on the end (it doesn’t stay on though, just while you hold the button), and the multimeter with a kickstand built in which is really nice.

Great value bundle

There's alot of value packed into this bundle. These are items every homeowner should have and know how to use. The outlet tester is great, standard issue. The multi-meter also worked great, though limited since it only came with simple pointed test leads. The non-contact voltage detector is very basic, does not work with low voltage, and has no bells and whistles other than a built in flash light. This is a perfect set for the homeowner or beginner DIY-er.

Nothin' "shocking" about it & that's a good thing.

The appearance of the tools is that they are well built amd rugged. The display on the multimeter is clear and quick. It also comes with a stand on the back for better viewing and for repetitive jobs. The other two pieces read bright and loud when tested. I've always liked seeing green when it is a positive response, but the red works too. Each piece does its job.

Have had this combo for 5-7 years now. Keep in mind I'm not a electrician and they don't get used daily, weekly or monthly.I use multimeter mostly for testing 12v batteries. Occasionally for ac use. Have never had a problem out of the multimeter. The no contact voltage detector has worked light and all with no issues, use multimeter to verify and no contact has been accurate 100% so far. worked a few weeks, after that, did not measure anything anymore, replaced battery/fuses display works great, thats it
