Should of returned

I bought this over a year ago. It has had problems since the day I got it. I should of returned it. It shuts off constantly while I’m trying to test things. I turn it on and it stays on for 2 seconds and then kicks back off. I thought it was maybe the batteries but I have switched those out and still no luck. I waited to long to return I probably just got a faulty device.

Easy to use and reliable

Needed it for my crawlspace and attic to add an outlet a disable a fan. Small, fits in my pocket and the extra pen light is helpful in dark corners. Easy to use and change modes

I just bought the Southwire Dual Range Digital 600-Volt Non-Contact Voltage Tester for a home renovation project. I was adding and moving some out let’s and running new wire for can lights. This product was great for this and my house is older and the brakers aren’t always labeled right.

Voltage detector

The Southwire voltage detector is exactly what I needed. Working in an area of equipment that needed parts removed was not safe without knowing the power lockout was functioning properly. The Southwire works perfect. First use it on known working lines and then you can check the wire needing work to be sure its powered down. Thanks Southwire for a great tool that didn't break my wallet.

This is my favorite tool!

Picked up while remodeling basement. This makes it so easy to test line before cutting. Saved me a couple of times when two circuits were in same area and one was still live. No messing around with wires.

Use a Fluke Meter

Claims that it indicates which wire is hot but bc the wires are close in proximity it indicates hot on all!

No Surprises

This device is very useful, it detects low and hi voltage, AC and DC voltage.....There is a different color light depending on the voltage type detected, which is nice....Be safe and not sorry, never go to work without it.....
