Would Recommend4 out of 5 stars because 4 out of 5 couplings were good! The 5th coupling had some odd burs inside that snagged the conduit and didn't allow one of the screws to tighten properly, so the conduit was just able to pull free. Fortunately I only needed 4 and just tossed the dud, but would have been very frustrating had I needed all 5, makes me wonder if I had taken back the one defective if I could have swapped it out for a single replacement, or would they have made me exchange all 5. Coupling fails when tightened
Would Not RecommendWhen minimal pressure is applied to lock conduit in the fitting the threaded pad tears out, very poor quality.

Would RecommendThey are EMT couplings... there isn't much else to say about them. One thing that is kind of nice, is that they are packaged in a plastic bag, not a box, so if the set screws work themselves loose, in transport, they are still contained in the packaging.

Would Not RecommendThis coupling has so much play when used with 1" EMT that it creates a terribly sloppy connection, even after tightening the set screws to the point of nearly stripping the head out.

Thank you for your feedback. Per UL797, the OD for 1” EMT is 1.163” nominal. The ID for the connector is 1.18”. This leaves a clearance of only 0.017...
