Best String Trimmer Head Ever
Would RecommendLong Lasting. This head can take a .105 string, though it isn't supposed to. I use this trimmer with .105 string for weeds on pavers, around rocks and other hard items such as fences and walls. I can dig up weeds from the dirt- tilling the soil in my mulch beds. Eventually, the string needs replacing, which takes a minute or two. You do have to cut the string to the length of your liking before inserting into the head. My choice is 14". This head takes a beating too. It will wear out eventually,...

Great product
Would RecommendI've never been able to get the trick to working the traditional heads with the wound up string. The string would break often, the head wouldn't dispense the string, and I'd spend way too long trying to fix the problem. Purchase the Shakespeare Push N Load Trim head and it was a total game changer. I have a Troy Built trimmer and it went right on in minutes and I was even able to use the string that I already had for the original head. Having 4 strings versus the traditional 2 also makes a diffe...
Does not fit
Would RecommendDoes not fit the Kobalt 40v Max which I bought at Lowes. Website said it would fit, but it did not fit mine. I liked the design, and appears to be well made. But the “universal” adapter is not universal. A square nut attaches original head to shaft on my Kobalt. The Shakespeare requires a hex nut, and several are provided (to fit various makes and models) but none is threaded like the Kobalt shaft. I even went to hardware store to try to find a 3/4 hex nut threaded like my Kobalt shaft. No luc...

Trash
Would Not RecommendInstalled, used it once, and about 3/4 of the way through the head flew off. Put it back on, started up the trimmer and literally fell off in 2 seconds. oh, I got an idea, I'll put lock tight on it. 2 seconds later, the head goes flying!

There is no better head....
For your trimmer, that is. Purchased this several years ago. Have had this head on my Troy-Bilt 2 cycle since and it has never let me down. Use it with a quality line (up to .095) and you will be chopping through grass and weeds like butter! Not sure how it would do on an electric unit, though. Very highly recommend you get this head. Stop reading these reviews and get it. You will not be disappointed.
Wish that instructions included fastener list!
Would RecommendIt is a great replacement head, I simply wish that instructions included a summary of what each fastener was in the kit. Each nut had a letter on it, but no description.
