Great blade heads!!!

So far this year I began experimenting with different setups for my Troy Built weedeater. By far the best have been these cutting blades! I dislike both the traditional string line and floppy fins that often accompany trimmers in the original packaging. These blades will last for many many hours and chew through thick grass and medium diameter weeds! Since switching to them, my outdoor yard maintenance time was significantly reduced by 30-45 minutes!!!! Get you some and see for yourself!

Garbage

These don't cut brush very well, I think metal blades would work better, but I found a chain coil head online. The grass, very often got wrapped around my trimmer. I have been trying to take it off my trimmer and it's not as easy as it was putting it on. There are no instructions on how to remove it, just turning the opposite way doesn't work.

Beware

I bought this on my way in to get some string line. It was returned and about 40% off so I said why not. Got it home and installed it without any problems at all. Big thumbs up there. Started up my trimmer and walked over to the thick stuff. I revved it up and put it to task, hit a 1/4" twig and the blades break off and go flying like shuriken. It comes with a spare set, but why bother. I'd rather stay with the old fashioned bump advance.

The purchase of the Shakespeare Push-N-Load 3-Blade Head absolutely changed my life! Installation was very simple and I was up and running in no time. I got through the entire yard without having to stop and hassle with those annoying weed eater strings that needed to be adjusted every 5 minutes. I have used it now 3 different times and I absolutely love it!

Much Better than String

This holds up a lot better than traditional string. Doesn't cut well initially but once you get the hang of it it is just as good.

Rubbish

Used all six blades in ten minutes doing simple edging work.

I have always wanted to make this conversion on a weed eater this time I finally did. I will not go back to string!

Returning the product

Perhaps if you have a powerful trimmer this would work but the added strain just kept stahling my trimmer. Works exceptionally well trimming concrete driveway but around the yard, it would stahl the trImmer constantly.

I got this product because I got tired of fighting to replace my weed eater line and wanted something that would last. I was disappointed that the blades wear out as quickly as they do, but am very happy with the product overall and highly recommend this to most everyone. As Stated by another reviewer, this product requires some common sense to use. If you beat the nylon blades against concrete, or fence posts, or rocks, your going to wear out and damage the blades. Recommend by associate. Really knew his job. While it isn't peanut butter it comes close. Can't say enough of how well it works.

Got a lot of high weeds to cut down? This thing will take care of them! I imagine the blades are easily broken should they come in contact with something solid but you're not supposed to hit that stuff anyway, and line would break too. Had to have my son put it on my Troy-Bilt but how that it's there, it's not coming off. The blades are super easy to change but I haven't needed to yet. So simple

Only have to replace blades when I attempt to edge. I could just weed eat several times in a row without ever touching blades. I use it on 80V Kobalt. 0 problems, if it ever breaks I will replace with exact same.

GREAT Trimmer Head!

Over the last 20 years I’ve bought numerous trimmer heads. This one is far superior to all of the trimmer heads that I’ve bought. I love how easy it is to install and how easy the blades can be replaced. As far as edging goes, this will edge a yard better than high-end edger’s. (With a little practice) As far as cutting through grass, twigs, saplings, vines etc. it’s amazing. I do recommend adequate clothing when using this.

Weed whacked good for trimming trees

As far as weeds go, make sure you don’t hit anything with weeds with those blades or else they break. Hit a Little Rock, it snaps. Cut down tree limbs, it’s fine. Save your money and go with the proven methods. This is a subpar product that’s useful for trees not weeds. Plus weeds get tangled up in the head if you don’t use a guard.
