I purchased and used this line because of the name... Shakespeare was in my mind a reputable go to company with tried and tested products. I have a rural Montana property and all I did for a day was replace and cut new line for my push behind trimmer. Normal weeds will fracture and cause the line to break and don't event think about shrubs or stemmed weeds! The line literally breaks as if it's brittle to begin with... Not impressed and $15 down the drain!

2nd purchase of this trimmer line. Love the idea that there is a cute & useful small blade cutter to measure & cut the exact size that I need for my weed trimmer -- and very economical! Thank you! Don Novak

poor product

first and for most this stuff breaks so easy if you say weed it breaks. It says it is recommended for a walk behind weed eater and I can not get one pass 10 feet long without having to change the string. I seriously believe it is not .155 at all cause it is smaller then what I got with the walk behind. Sorry but this is the worst I have purchased from Lowes.

Walk behind trimmer

We use this as replacement for our walk behind trimmer. We just cut it to size ahead of time and then I have a bunch of pieces ready to go. It will tear up weeds and brush, just don’t hit any stumps or debris with it. That usually results in the line chewing down a lot quicker.

good stuff

this is the longest-lasting trim cord I've found - and I've tried many; using it on really tough grass, the 6ft tall with 3/8inch stalks kind and on woody, viney ground cover, like honeysuckle, and this holds up well; and easy on the hands when installing. the included cutter is simple to use and works well. Will definitely buy again

Explodes when it hits anything bigger than grass

Horrible line. It blows up when it hits anything bigger than a 1/16 thick stalk. Garbage most likely made from scrap plastic. It should get 0 stars

.155 inch Trimmer Line

This size (.155 inch diameter) Trimmer Line is very hard to find in stores and I was excited to find it at Lowe's! This size line, or larger, is used in walk-behind trimmers. We use these machines instead of bladed lawn mowers in the rocky Texas Hill Country. It would be even better if Lowe's would carry .155 trimmer line in large 500 foot spools!

This trimmer line was much stronger than the line that came with my new gas-powered Craftsman walk-behind heavy duty trimmer.

This is strong and long lasting. I use it in my DR walk behind trimmer/mower and it does very well at a good price.

Works Great!

This line is great at cutting my needs on a 1 acre lot with grass and weeds on the borders that grow to waist high before I cut it. I will also add that I am amazed at how the cutter works with ease once you figure it out. They should write instructions rather than just showing a small pic.

Dissatisfied

Breaks more often than the provided line that came with my Remington. Works fine on the lite stuff, but stay away from saplings with it.
