What Customers Are Saying
The product is generally well-received for its environmental friendliness, being made from 100% recycled materials. Many find it to be a quality, eco-conscious option. However, a significant number of customers have expressed disappointment with recent changes, finding the new version to be much thinner and rougher in texture compared to the previous formulation. While the product remains an affordable and convenient choice for eco-conscious consumers, the company may need to address concerns about the recent reduction in softness and thickness to retain its customer base.

I agree with the other reviewer. We have used Seventh Generation toilet paper for years, and it used to be 300 2-ply sheets per roll. The new rolls are labeled "extra soft & strong" but have 240 2-ply sheets per roll. However, in a direct comparison, the roll that had 300 2-ply sheets was actually stronger and softer than the new roll with 240 2-ply sheets.

Thinner Paper Now
Would Not RecommendWe have been using Seventh Generation T.P. for years, as my wife is very sensitive. Unfortunately, our latest packages of your T.P. which have rolls with the old imprint back, have thinner paper and even less soft paper than before. We are looking for another brand.

A Timeless Treasure
Would RecommendThis product works as good for me as it did for the six generations of ancestors before me! Thanks to this product, my whole lineage has been wiped out!
Concern about tubes
Would RecommendI'm pleased with the product and am planning to switch to the non-bleached. My concern though is with the prominent competitor advertising of no-tube rolls: Extremely powerful, incremental improvement re: waste. I hope to receive here some word on what 7thGen is doing in this regard.

Irritating
Would Not RecommendI am sensitive to whatever is used in this toilet paper which is not listed. It shreds up in the skin and becomes irritated and itches. Formaldehyde? http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2860827/

Quality Drop
Would Not RecommendWe buy in bulk and have been long-time purchasers, very happy with this product. Not anymore. This product has gone through a noticeable change, and is now too thin for its intended purpose. If things return to the customary thickness, we'll post again and return as customers. Otherwise, we'll have to find another solution.

Please bundle rolls in paper, not plastic
Would RecommendI like the product, especially that it's 50% post consumer waste. However, the plastic packaging is not environmentally friendly.

Too thin
Would Not RecommendI hope they change this product, as it is really inferior to the other quality products they offer. The toilet paper rarely tore at the perforations and would rip so unevenly, to the point it would take more paper each bathroom visit. Although the sq.ft. ratio to price was comparable, after normal bathroom use requiring more paper, the cost equation changed to more expensive. I hope this feedback helps them make a better toilet paper to carry their quality name.

Chlorine-free for sensitive skin
Would RecommendI had to find toilet paper that doesn't use chlorine because I have extremely sensitive skin. This one works great without causing irritation. It's not as soft as the "mega roll' brands, but it's totally worth the trade off. It's just a bonus that it's recycled!

Cheaper than you might think (sqft)
Would RecommendYou have to look at square footage, which I had never done until 7th gen purchase. 7th gen is 800sqft in 24 double roll pack (or 33sqft/roll), name brand is 425sqft in 24 double roll pack (17sqft/roll). I'm reading the reviews and people are saying they use TWENTY sheets per wipe? I was hesitant too on my first roll, but as I progressed through the pack, I got more adventurous and the paper didn't fail me. Use the same amount as I did with P&G brand.

Saved the day!
Would RecommendI have allergies to inks, perfumes and chemicals. This TP has saved the day for me. I was having some rather serious and unpleasant problems with the name brands. All of these issues began to be relieved immediately. I am so happy I found this brand.

Great chemical-free alternative for sensitive area
Would RecommendI have Interstitial Cystitis and switched to 7th Generation toilet paper (and Ultra Thin pads) so I can avoid the fragrance/chlorine/chemicals/etc. that are in most toilet paper. This product does the job efficiently and doesn't cause urinary tract irritation/itching.

The T.P is sturdy!
Would Recommend7th Gen T.P. is sturdier than all of the rest. It is quite important to me to have strong toilet paper! And you know the reason why. Thank you 7th Gen.

Not bad at all
Would RecommendSaw the other reviews, quite frankly I'd be surprised if it was as thick as some of the other more mainstream brands, but honestly it works great. I know it's more expensive, but really I buy it for another reason, not because I'm concerned with what I wipe mybutt with. Although if it was bad, I would definitely not use it...

Seventh Generation's worst product
Would Not RecommendThis is the only Seventh Generation product I won't buy again. Have used Charmin Ultra (and formerly White Cloud) for my entire life, so I may be spoiled. This stuff is really bad on the bum when you're having to use more than the usual amount. It requires using 3-4 times as much to avoid the thrill of your fingers or moisture going through. I'd really rather buy recycled. I'd really rather support a business with values more similar to mine. But this is where I excuse myself.

Last a long time, but way to thin.
Would RecommendI love the fact that this product lasted much longer than my normal toilet paper brand but, it was terribly thin. You have to use a lot every time (probably 20 sheets) but it's not that uncomfortable. Generally speaking it is the same thinness you will see at places such as convention centers, work, gas stations or most places that buys in bulk. I hope they come out with more than 2 ply toilet paper.
