Product does live up to the promise.

Have used this product and had no luck. Watered daily as recommended. Some came up and some didn't. What did didn't survive especially in the shaded area. Wouldn't recommend useing this product. Even used what was left on a small area and still nothing. Wasted my money

No seed?

I thought this container had seed in it. After weeks of watering nothing. I looked through the container and I saw nothing that looks like grass seed. I know it is a very small seed but I didn't see any.

Full of Quack Grass (a weed), Don't Use!!

Used to fill in bare spots, in my 4 month old lawn. It grew quickly, but it's nothing but Quack grass (a weed). My lawn is on scheduled lawn maintenance and I have little to no feeds for over 10 years, but everywhere I used your product has Quack grass. My lawn maintenance said I need to kill lawn and start over. Horrible product!! Many of your reviews comment on how quickly they get crab grass (a weed) so you definitely have a problem. Don't Buy!!!

New grass is growing well after just 14 days!

New grass is growing well after just 2 weeks! I just sprinkled some Miracle Gro Soil, then applied the EZ Seed. Watered morning and whenever the soil looked like it was ready (light brown). I'm very happy with this Product!

Highly underwhelming

I bought this a month ago, lightly tilled the area to be seeded, and watered religiously everyday. Had very low to no germination. Waste of time, waste of money.

Don’t work

Third time trying this product and 0 growth. I even tried putting down miracle grow ground soil before putting EZ down and nothing. Air temperature within ideal range and watered appropriately. Total rip off!

It needs to be kept very moist at all times for the germination and that is difficult at times. There also does not appear to be a high quantity of seed in the mix as I always add to the mix before spreading.

Jug of weeds

I’ve used Scott’s products for years and hadn’t had any issues until now. I used and plastic jug of the EZ seed and it mostly grew weeds, very disappointed with this. I’ve attached pics of the small area I had to seed and you’ll see many different weeds and not a lot of grass and good looking turf.

Did 10 + patches with no results. Did it again with no results... don't know what to do now.

Bought this a couple months ago, applied 3 weeks ago. Followed directions. Not a single blade of grass. Not one. Maybe those spots are terrible for some reason, or this sat on the shelf at Ace for too long, but this stuff certainly didn't accomplish anything.

Works Good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had several bare spots in my lawn that needed filling in. I was anxious to use this product. It seemed simple to apply and Scott has a great reputation for their projects to perform well. I was not disappointed. This product did as it was advertised. Easy to apply in the bare spots, water and it didn’t take long to start growing. It was formulated to work well, fill in with good quality grass. It worked!! I’m happy with the results.

More like potting soil, clumpy with not much seed

Clumpy, more looking like potting soil with not much seed. Waited 2 weeks for not much of growth of new grass. Just tried to reseed areas that didn't grow... Hopefully in a week I'll see something grow.

Fast growing to fill in bald spots

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Did the trick to fill in patches where our dog had killed the grass off. The new growth did not last to long but that could have been due to my dogs again. I am giving it a 4 star because of the fast growth.

Excellent Product. Sprouts Fast and Blends Quickly

Great results. Sprouts appeared from around 6 to 10 days. After three weeks, the patched areas are blending in nicely. One extra step I learned is to cover the EZ Seed with a thin layer of topsoil if heavy rain is in the forecast. Not doing so can sometimes result in the grass seed being exposed. When it has happened in the past, those areas didn't sprout. The product works great but it isn’t easy to start

I have all sorts of problem areas and bare spots that I am trying to fill in my new lawn. I must say grass is not the easiest thing to grow especially in the hot summer months. Soil temperatures have to be right, there needs to be sunlight to grow the grass and watering needs to be spot on. When the seed sprouts the soil must be kept wet, but when the water evaporates it cools the soil temperatures so it doesn’t grow until the sunshine warms it up again. Didn't work for me

I bought this 3 weeks ago and no seeds germinated. Was a pretty big waste of money.

Terrible results with this product

I bought this product to patch the bare spots in my lawn. I raked the spots prior to putting the seed down. I then covered the spots with burlap and watered it twice a day. To date after 10 days. Not a bit of growth. I can’t recommend this product and very disappointed. Looks like I need to search for another brand that will actually grow grass.

Awesome!

Initially temps were a little cool. I was paranoid for a little bit but it filled in thick as soon as it warmed up. It took about 10 days to germinate. 4 1/2 week later it looks great! So much less expensive than sod!

Waste of money!!!

For all the time and money spent on this product, it is awful. It does not work and if/when it does, it does not spread 4x like it says. The grass is thin and hardly any grows- I bought 4 jugs, and 15 bags of Scott's topsoil and nothing has happened. DO NOT BUY!

Failure

Instead of repairing my grass and making it thicker I wound up with a bunch of browning patches now within days. I absolutely will not recommend this to anyone.
