Did not cover entire lawn.
I got two bags which was enough to cover my lawn but either I wasn't walking fast enough or listing of how many sq ft the bags is supposed to cover was off, but it did not cover my entire lawn only about 80%. Not sure about absorption but after rain that night still a lot of product visible and don't know if that is correct or not.

It was easy to spread with a Scotts handheld spreader. Definitely follow the instructions and wear gloves and non-porous shoes, the yellow color will stain a bit.
